Hey ladies!
We often get threads posted on local boards looking for reviews or ideas on vendors in a certain area. As your West Coast Florida hostess, I created this thread to include vendor lists as a reference for local brides! This will be a great reference for future brides looking for vendors and reviews.
Please post which vendors you're using for the following:
To start this off right, here are my vendors!
I should have added another to this list - who are you using for transportation/limo service?
I had a destination wedding on Boca Grande and thought I'd share!
Hope that's helpful!
@CrstnBeach: Ooh! We have the same photographer! Isn't she wonderful? How did you find her? And the Ringling Museum is AMAZING. One of my best friends had her wedding there last November and it was stunning!
@august15bride - I actually haven't met her yet, but I'm finally going to see her on Thursday! I live in NYC and have been coordinating everything through a planner and my mom in Sarasota. I grew up in that area but left after high school. Still feels like home! I love Audrey's work and she's been great to work with from afar!

@britt: Have you picked out your cake at Publix yet? (I'm getting a Publix cake too!) I'm just wondering how your experience was. Also, which Alvina Valenta dress and which Nina shoes? I am wearing Nina shoes, and regularly drool over Alvina Valenta dresses. :)
august15bride..
Im doing a plain white 3 tierd publix cake..its $300 (and I can pick whatever filling and cake flavor I want). Then Im having my florist decorate it with real flowers.
My Alvina Valenta dress is style # 9658.
My nina shoes are the Culver shoes (Ivory - for the ceremony)...but Im looking for Fuchsia pink shoes for the reception.

Hey all! I'm new to "the bee" because I am trying to be a better bride (as far as all of the posting, etc.) :)
My fiance and I are getting married on 03/27/2010 in St. Petersburg
Awwwwww, CALLIE!!!!! :)
Shouldn't you be working? Ok, ok... and I should be studying ;)
@Nikki: HAHAHAHA. You caught me. Or maybe I caught you. I did have that thought. Oh well, it's Friday afternoon! Good luck on the studying by the way!
@legalbee: I am checking out the Tampa Bay Watch on Oct. 16th for our wedding in May 2012 - it looks amazing! i can't wait to see your pics on Laura's blog for inspiration!
If you haven't already found someone - I found a great DJ - he is about $75/hour - SO nice and I'm looking to working with him - his name is Jeffrey:
Can you tell me more about Amici's - I'd love to know if you ended up liking their catering services?
@rainbow: - how did you like Lisa from Exquisite Events? I have a phone interview with her tomorrow to plan our ceremony on the beach.
Here is my info so far:
I figure it's about time I update my vendors!
@angelesta: I am meeting with Lisa on Wednesday! I will let you know how it goes.
And now that I actually have most of my vendors taken care of I will update!
I'll chime in!
@CJTeacup: let me know how the publix flowers turn out.... i've heard they have awesome prices and excellent quality... i am more than likely going to DIY my flowers so publix is on my short list.
I will post what I have so far...
Little bit at a time.

Congrats! How was affordable catering? I am getting married in April and are in contact with them right now. Any advice you could give would be great! Thank you!!
