    Hey ladies!

We often get threads posted on local boards looking for reviews or ideas on vendors in a certain area.  As your West Coast Florida hostess, I created this thread to include vendor lists as a reference for local brides! This will be a great reference for future brides looking for vendors and reviews.

Please post which vendors you're using for the following:

    • DJ
    • Florist
    • Cake
    • Officiant

    • Shoes
    • BM Dress
    • Hair Stylist
    • Make-up Artist
    • Invitations
    • Rings
    • Other
    Thanks ladies!!

To start this off right, here are my vendors!

@august15bride - I actually haven't met her yet, but I'm finally going to see her on Thursday! I live in NYC and have been coordinating everything through a planner and my mom in Sarasota. I grew up in that area but left after high school. Still feels like home! I love Audrey's work and she's been great to work with from afar!

@britt: Have you picked out your cake at Publix yet? (I'm getting a Publix cake too!) I'm just wondering how your experience was. Also, which Alvina Valenta dress and which Nina shoes? I am wearing Nina shoes, and regularly drool over Alvina Valenta dresses. :)

Hey all! I'm new to "the bee" because I am trying to be a better bride (as far as all of the posting, etc.) :)

My fiance and I are getting married on 03/27/2010 in St. Petersburg

    • Venue: Mirror Lake Lyceum (dt St. Petersburg)
    • Caterer: Delectables
    • Coordinator: My Aunt
    • Photographer: Karlin Connell Photography (http://www.karlinconnell.com) - She lives in Melbourne with her husband now but she is PHENOMENAL and oh so sweet. Our engagement pics came out great! I will post them when I have a chance.
    • DJ: No, DJ, Band: Ocean Road Band - they're fantastic and fun. We will also have piano and violin music by Lee Stele and Anna Lovin
    • Florist: Dana Dineen
    • Cake: Publix
    • Officiant: Rev. Dave Harding, St. Petersburg Presbyterian Church
    • Dress: http://www.allurebridals.com/index.php?id=3&product_id=17
    • Shoes: El Vira by Capparos
    • BM Dress: They each picked their own from WH/BM (White House Black Market)
    • Hair Stylist: Maura at J. Con
    • Make-up Artist: Leisa Hopkins (she's out of Orlando but is AMAZING and willing to travel)
    • Invitations: Graphic Design: Jet Set Designs (www.jetsetdesigns.net) -- I would highly recommend!! She even created a great graphic that we've been using throughout our print work and on personalized favors, etc. Printing: Rinaldi Printing
    • Rings: Mavilo Jewlers
    • Other: My fiance's family is all from Wisconsin, so we were sure to do a hotel block on the beach as well. Tara at the Sirata is GREAT. I would not recommend looking at the Tradewinds. Their rep was very hard to get ahold of, told me that she was sending the paperwork over, then called 2 weeks later to tell us that there was a 4 night minimum and no discount for blocking. I'm not upset about their restrictions, I understand that we were booking at a peak time, just that it took a month to go through finding out information that probably should have been presented to us upfront. Then, when I said I knew of several families who would still be interested and to send the paperwork over... well, that was back in August, this is February, still no paperwork (we obviously gave up on them and went with the Sirata, but still, just seemed bad for business.

    • Venue: Lange Farm, Dade City
    • Caterer: Catered by Vesh We were skeptical going into the tasting given their prices, but Mark was amazing and even made some personal tweaks just for us. If you're a fellow foodie I'd set up a meeting with him.
    • Coordinator: Provided by venue, Meghan Murphy
    • Photographer: Erin Woolsey
    • DJ: Jude @ Grant Hemmond
    • Florist: Bride's Bouquet  So excited about working with Debbie. I went into the meeting with a set dollar amount I thought was reasonable and was afraid I'd suffer sticker shock. Not only did she quote me a few hundred less than I anticipated but we're getting far more than I ever expected I could afford. Plus you get to preview the arragements the week of. She's in the process of redesigning her website, so check her facebook account for lots of pictures, she posts regularly.
    • Cake: Cakes by Nomeda tasting was wonderful and holy amazing pricing, she doesn't charge any extra for decorating, so if your heart wants sugar flowers but your wallet doesn't I'd go with her. She has a facebook page as well.
    • Officiant: Glynn @ Sensational Ceremonies
    • Dress: Boca Raton Bridal The only salon I know that carries Modern Trousseau
    • Shoes: Zappos
    • BM Dress: Mori Lee #831 I plan on having my girls order them from French Novelty as the prices are cheaper. Any of you ladies have any experience with them?
    • Hair Stylist: Plan on using my current stylist/colorist. Still have to do a trial
    • Make-up Artist: Possibly my stylist's wife, need to do a trial, otherwise looking for recommendations!
    • Invitations: Anyone looking for custom invites? I'm a Graphic Designer, so of course I'm designing and printing all my paper goods.
    • Ring: Not sure
    • Videographer: Tampa Wonderworks
