Okay, so we found a wonderful venue that is kind of rustic and needs some love. luckily, it is DIRT CHEAP to rent the venue, so we have extra money in our budget for decorations. i was thinking i would do it myself, but my mom saw the space and loved it but thinks it would be too much work for me, my mom, and my FI.
the venue is a finished barn, with pretty high ceilings, all exposed wood etc. it has a bar inside the venue as well as bathrooms. here’s a picture of it:
i am planning on renting either mismatched, vintage chairs or plain white chairs for the ceremony and then using them in this space for the reception as well and having plain white table cloths to make the space look cleaner. i like what the last bride did here with the draping, but probably wouldn’t do the twine balls. i want strings of lights, bunting, and a few paper lanterns, along with the draped organza.
so my question is: who do i hire to do this? do i go with an “event planner”? or since i need to rent a tent for a dance floor outside, would they be able to do the decorations? i’m just confused on the logistics. thank you guys for your help in advance!
