Lily_of_the_valley:  Here’s my understanding: tip is not to be expected. Tips are normally reserved for servers serving food/drinks.

Here’s an article I found extremely helpful in discerning who to tip: http://offbeatbride.com/2013/04/tipping-wedding-vendors

My plan is to credit all vendors on my website/blog after the wedding AND leave helpful YELP reviews (I’m actually a Yelp Elite). That way, when engaged couples/guests plan their wedding, the vendors I used may get potential repeat businesses. I think that’s better than monetary tipping.

Lily_of_the_valley:  We also had a DW at an all-inclusve resort. We only tipped the servers & photographer. Everything else was a part of our package with the resort. I would have tipped the coordinator except she skipped the day and sent her supervisor instead so I saw no need to tip her since the supervisor just showed up the day of with her notes. I did leave reviews for just about everyone involved in the process though, part of the reason was because the resort is only 2-3 years old and I had a hard time finding info about weddings there…

Lily_of_the_valley:  We had a destination wedding at an all inclusive resort in Cuba we tipped the wedding planner, photographer (we used the one the resort provided) and we tipped the head waiter at our wedding reception because they really made some accomadations for us since we totalyl messed up the numbers for dinner. We were supposed to tip the bus driver that brought us to the wedding reception but DH was a bit drunk when we got back and forgot lol
