Depends on who it’s to. He does his family, I do mine. I’ll do mutual friends.

BAHAHAHAHA!  That would be me 😉

I gave him a card from Hallmark for Christmas last year before I went out of town. He waited until the day after Christmas to get me one (the day we were doing our Christmas exchange) and I ended up with a card that said “Happy Birthday” and, written in Sharpie- “Jesus?”!

I get them, write in them, get DH to write in them, then I seal them, stamp and mail them.

I do 90% of them, and I am always the one who makes sure we have/get cards.

I always buy the cards and write a message in them. If it’s a card for DH’s family, I will make him sign it.

I do them mostly. I address the encloses and write:

    “dear auntie,

hope the season finds you well!

    love,

    ________ and sapphiresun”

and then leave them on the table for him to write his name in the blank.

@Merelymere:  That sounds like an AMAZING card to get!  How funny!

I made him sit down with me to pick our Christmas cards this year, but that was almost more of a headache than me just picking them…  He has strong opinions, and apparently his tastes are just enough different that it is frustrating!  And picking the photos to put on it?  Took just about eternity…

That said, I still want him involved, and I know he wants to be.  So I might do the majority of the addressing, but he will help!  Especially when it comes to thank you’s, he writes the ones for his family, and I’ll do mine and our friends.  (I’m just better at “words” in general, though, so it’s pretty fair…)

Me, just me. In fact I told my DH last night that I finished our Christmas cards to which he replied…”we have Christmas cards.” Pretty much sums it up.

We split the work. I address the envelopes while he writes out the message for the card and then we both sign.

He will walk to the mailbox.  That is it.  I do everything else.

I write, mostly because his handwriting is pretty crazy, not to mention that he just plain and simple does not care, haha!

Just me.  I make him sign it if it’s for his family, but choosing, addressing, stamping, walking to the mailbox…me, me, me, me, me.

He says his family doesn’t believe in cards, so they never send them, but that it would be rude for me to not send them to his family, because I DO believe in cards.  So off they go, every year.

I do them all, inlcuding making the cards but only because I like to make them. I sign his name and do all the addressing.

I can’t even get him to do thank-you cards, I had to do all of our wedding thank-yous and signed his name – he is just not a card person. Last year after Xmas I tried writing on a sticky note with each card which gifts he received from the person the card was for and they still never got done. I got tired of asking him to do it last year so this year I just will do mine and send them off – we have tons of blank thank-you cards if he decides on his own that he wants to do them!
