@Calybug:  Ohh I like that!

I am fairly certain that I will be going with a red or burgundy dress.
I’ve tried on a few dresses to get an idea of shape, but haven’t seen any red ones just yet. That said, I am not officially engaged and even though my bf is encouraging me to plan, I have NOT set up any appts at salons/DB/etc! I want to wait until he proposes..

Here are a few that I like:

I flat out refuse to wear a white dress or any shade of white/ivory/champagne. I’m probably going to end up with one of these dresses in silver/pewter/whatever the designer decides to call the colour:

My fave of the 4 is the Justin Alexander, although I’d like to add a little more bling to it. I think if I could either get some crystals added to the top of the bodice, or even add a sash with a big sparkly brooch or something it would be perfect. Oh and I don’t really like the little jacket it comes with, but love it without.

Mine is going to be short, and I am having it made ๐Ÿ™‚ I chose a hemp silk material ๐Ÿ™‚ SOOOOOO non-traditional. I actually think wedding dresses are extremely hidious.

Mine was white, but I think it was fairly non-traditional- no ballgown, no corset, no mermaid skirt.  The designer is Sue Wong.

mine is a bridesmaid dress ordered in white so its short and i’ll be putting colored tulle underneath. i tried the big traditional ones on just to make sure it wasnt what i wanted and i was right. i cant wait for it to come in as i havent even seen it in white, just a lovely shade of brown.

@troublesmom:  I have considered doing this as well! ๐Ÿ™‚
So many BM dresses would look GREAT as a wedding dress! (Though I would go for a red or silver or something, I’m not into white myself.)

I’ll be looking out for your posts. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been freaking out and second guessing mine.
