@GretaMae316:  I am really anti-pinterest lol. Everything I look for online and in stores from invites to favors to decor looks like pinterest threw up burlap, lace and mason jars all over it. Not my style haha.

@GretaMae316:  I’m not themed.  I’m basically just doing whatever I want.  I guess our wedding would be Gatsbyish/ Gardenish.  It’s at a gorgeous hotel built in the early 1900s. Colors are blush, gold and ivory.  Dress is old-meets-new. Starting to look at vintage decor.  I’ve pretty much decided to stay away from lace, burlap, and mason jars.

No seriously, we dont have a theme at all. Our colors mostly match? Maybe thats our theme. Idk.

No mason jars for me, I hate them. And no burlap or lace either, so nothing rustic whatsoever. Just a regular fancy wedding at a golf course in burgundy and pink.

I thought my theme was rustic but it doesnt include mason jars, lace, burlap or wild flowers for that matter! It does include lot’s of wood elements (wood chiavari chairs, branch center pieces, wood engraved signs and table numbers in fancy script, no handpainted for me!). I always thought of it as rustic glam, since the colors are eggplant, gold, lilac and ivory with wooden touches for warmth. It is definitely more glam than rustic, but maybe I should call it woodsy glam from now on?

Our wedding will be a private, laid-back ceremony followed by dinner at our favorite restaurant. 🙂
