love your pics! so cute! and thanks so much for getting anne to write that post!!
ohh I wanted to try this after reading the post, now that I've seen how yours came out I will be doing it tonight. I especially like the dark flower you used as a background and that last pic with what I think is a pan handle. Great job!
I think I'm going to try this too after her post! My pictures always end up either blurry or there's too much reflection. thanks, Anne!!
Great pics Lillindy!! And whatta gorgeous ring =) What kind of camera did you use? Was it a regular point-and-shoot?
Those are so great!! I love the ones with the dark flower. My mom has a really expensive/professional camera so one of the first things I did after I got engaged was take some "artistic" pictures of my ring. Now that Anne gave those great instructions I'm going to try to do the same with my crappy point-and-shoot.
I tried, but I think my camera is too old & crappy...it just won't focus that close. :) I'm asking Santa for a new one for Christmas!
Love the ones in the flower!
@Mrs. Bee: Anne is amazing, I'm loving all her posts!
@bluebonnet: Thanks!
@slicey19: You are right that was a pan handle, I just wanted to see how it would work.
@slicey19, EAQ219, Almostananderson: The flower is a LILY & I also had some babies breath in there, I thought it would be fun to try it out since I had it at home and there's been some talk about it lately.
@emerald: Thanks! Yes I just took the photos with my little point-and-shoot, a Sony Cybershot DSCW80
It really was very easy, Anne made it so simple, you should all give it a try!
These look AMAZING! Wish I had taken more pics of my wedding ring before I lost it :(
Isn't it funny how we never even thought of taking pics of the rings OFF of our hands? At least I didn't! I always took ring pics on my finger :)
omg, i was totally inspired by anne and the rocktography blog. i took some pictures this weekend but wasn't too happy with the results, so i'll definitely keep trying. but the bottom picture was taken against my mountain bike...diamond in the rough so to speak. ![]()
Aww, Mrs. Penguin, it still makes me so sad to hear about your ring, I would be crushed to lose mine. You can still take some pictures of the ring you have left, love the one you've got with all your might!
I used to always take pictures of my ring on my hand, but after Anne's post, I'll never do that big no-no again!
@tripps: Wow, that's a great photo & I love your bike as the backdrop!
I did too right after we got our rings because I wanted artistic shots to show them off. Here is one of mine and one with his.
the first attachement his his (I couldn't figure out how ot have them both show)
wow, i'm so glad readers are realizing how fun and easy it is to take pictures of your own ring! (per anne's instructions, of course)...
i only took mine against one backdrop, but now i'm inspired to take a few more. i'd love to save them and put them in a wedding scrapbook at some point.
congrats Lillindy on a job well done!
Here's mine, I was playing with my camera cause my friend gave me her macro filter lens for my SLR camera to test it out.
I keep forgetting to try this!!!! That was such an awesome post.
I just posted pictures on my blog! http://weblog.xanga.com/strawberrybaby78
I'm so glad that I read this post about how to take better e-ring pics! I haven't had a chance to take pictures with more interesting backgrounds yet... but I think I might have found a new hobby... ha ha
I re-took my engagment ring again cause my first 2 pictures was very dull. There was no spark and shine on my picture. Here is the second result:

I had so much fun using different backgrounds for this that I didn't dare pick just one when I bloggd about it.
Here is my favorite, but you can see the rest at my blog: http://latteloveleavinghome.blogspot.com
Omg, I had waaaaayyy too much fun yesterday with this project!! The tips were SO helpful!

I'm so honored that she answered my question and wrote a whole post about it. I spent a little while yesterday taking some pictures and it's so much fun! Here's mine: http://www.flickr.com/photos/anthonylinda/sets/72157611189820665/
