Meeeeeeeeeee!
My FI and I have been together for four years, but knew each other for 2.5 years before that. We were pretty much best friends from the day we met, haha. He's so sweet and thoughtful, still a gentleman (open doors, etc.), etc. We're a team, too, which I love.
Preaching to the choir, girl! ;) FI and I have had our ups and downs (I think expected after getting engaged after 11 months..still a lot to learn) but every day that goes by I find something new I just love about him. His smile, his laugh, and...oh my gosh I'm sounding like a SAP! But yes, I totally agree. We will of been together over 2.5 years when we get married and I don't think I'll ever stop loving him more with each day!
@vorpalette: it's so nice to be treated that way he also opens car doors for me and always makes me put my seatbelt on lol i give him a hard time but i always give in lol we mix so well together and i love that.
DH got huge points this week, first for being a champ while we were on vacation--Florida for 4 days, then a 4 day Disney cruise over Thanksgiving then checked into a Disney resort for 3 days on Sunday...5 hrs later I was in an ambulance on an IV violently throwing up with a high fever. He held my hair and cleaned my clothes and didn't complain once that the last 3 days of our trip that were supposed to be in the parks were spent resting and recovering. We had even been upgraded to an awesome 1 bedroom club level concierge suite with a sitting room and 2 tvs, and a 40 ft balcony we could see the Epcot fireworks from, too bad I couldn't really enjoy it but he loved it.
Then we left this morning at 5:30, but I got up at 3:30am to use the bathroom and there was a HUGE bug in there, freaked me out so I peed and ran back to bed. He asked what was wrong and I told him about the bug and that I just shut the bathroom door so it wouldn't get out. He got out of bed, went into the bathroom, scooped up the bug in the waste basket and gently let it go outside on the balcony--he didn't even kill it. I love that man.
I'm marrying my best friend in the entire universe (and any alternate realities that may exist)! We talk about anything and everything and always put each other first. It's the perfect relationship. I can't believe it sometimes. I swear we're soulmates. We joke all the time that we're the same person. I have anxiety about my dress too, but I'm probably just being crazy. I may post about that in another note later...don't want to hyjack yours. ;)
Oh yeah, we've been together for 6 years. Met in college playing Dungeon & Dragons. I know, we're geeks. It was love at first sight (or at least major attraction at first sight).
@Christy42213: aww thats awesome and please post a pic of your dress im having a hard time myself committing to a dress ; )
I've been with my husband for almost 9 years and I love him more as each day passes. He is kind and patient but also strong and determined. He never ceases to amaze me. He's a perfect gentleman and I'm so grateful for him.
I love pretty much everything; I can't really make a comprehensive list. But two things I especially love today is how well we communicate, and how he looks at me. =) It's like we become better versions of ourselves with each other around, but also more together, if that makes sense.
We set up our first Christmas tree today and took pictures, the two of us and our furbaby, and it really felt like a sweet little family. I don't even know what I love most. Probably all the ways he makes me laugh all the time and cuddles next to me at night.
I love all the little things he does, like making my lunch and packing my bag so I can sleep a few extra minutes on school mornings, or rubbing my back when I'm cramping from that time of month. :)
Sorry for the big block of text. I'm typing from my phone, and it won't let me insert paragraphs. I love that my DH is strong when I am weak and that he challenges me to grow and to be a better person and a better Christian. I recently had major surgery and ended up having a couple of post-op complications. I was in the hospital for a week. DH spent a lot of time with me while I was in the hospital, and he showed so much love for and commitment to me, even when I was hooked up to two IVs, and had a tube from my nose to my stomach. When my faith was challenged due to exhaustion, weariness, and pain, he helped me to keep my focus on the Lord and what He had already done for me. I am very Type A and analytical. I always try to figure out what is going on and why and try to manage situations and control outcomes. He held my arm and reminded me that God was in control in -- and of -- my situation and that He didn't need my help to manage it. My job was to have faith and rest in the Lord. I am so thankful for the man of God the Lord gave to me in my DH.
@HisNightOwl2014: I kind of want to (I even wrote the post in a Word document but didn't end up posting it to the site), but I kind of don't...I'm almost afraid to because what if everyone on here says they hate the dress and I made the wrong choice? LOL!
I'm trying the dress on again in 3 days. My mom is coming with me and it will be the first time she sees me in MY dress with the belt and veil. Previously, she saw me in a sample that was 2 sizes too small and didn't have the belt or veil. I think having her there will cement that I made the right choice. I'm just freaking out for nothing I think. It's a big deal, you know!
@Christy42213: i hear you i'm taking my FMIL,FSIL who's also my MOH my SIL and my mother and best friends to see the dress ive had my eye on. i haven't ordered it yet i wanted them to see me in it first and im scared to death that they wont like it ; ( i really do love this dress and im just hoping everyone likes it too we go this Saturday. im keeping my fingers crossed for both of us. my FH told me to get the dress and to hell with there opinions. if i love it that all that matters its my day wear what dress i love but he does not understand its just not that easy.
@Christy42213: and wheres that pic of you in your beautiful dress ; 0) i wanna see
heres my love i hope everyone falls in love with

@HisNightOwl2014: Oooooh!!! I think that's a fantastic dress!!! And I definitely agree with your fiance. To Hell with everyone else's opinions.
Do you ever watch Say Yes to the Dress? I've seen so many brides heartbroken when they fall in love with a dress that their families/friends rip apart. It's about you! It's your wedding! Wear what makes you feel beautiful and confident and comfortable.
I'm explicitly not showing people my dress because I don't want to be affected by their opinions. I've only shown my mom and my bridesmaids. Everyone else will just have to wait until the wedding day to see it! ;)
I love my FI so much. :) Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary. He is my best friend and my soul mate. He just makes me feel so so so loved. <3 <3 <3
my husband and I met a little over three years ago. I am glad I waited a long time for him. I will never, ever, have to go on a first date again...
I've been with my SO for almost 4.5 years. There are about a million things I could list about why I love him but I'll take a very recent example of why he is the best for me.
I am a huge Christmas nut. I love decorating for the holidays and it is my favorite time of the year. Before he met me, Christmas was just an average day to him (except there were presents). But he's very tolerent of my love of it and finds himself getting into the spirit as well.
This year, December is SO busy with his mom's birthday, my birthday and then we leave the state to go visit my family for the whole week of Christmas. I had planned on getting a real tree (as I always do) and decking our halls! But I realized there was no time for us to enjoy it because we were busy every weeekend and we'd be gone on Christmas. I told him not to worry about it this year. Well... when I got home from work he was there with several Target bags full of a ribbon, bows, a tiny fake tree and garland so I could decorate a little tree and he promised that we would go get a real wreath so I could still have that "Christmas Tree" smell.
He's awesome!!
@Christy42213: thank you so much i really love this dress it hase a modern vintage feel to me anyways ; ) and the dress goes well with all my bridal accsessories i think im just going to order her but now im thinking about a dress i tried on when i first went dress shopping too im really going nuts lol but eather way if they like it or not theyll all love it on my big day when im all jacked up lol and yes i watch say yes to the dress all the time i love that show.
my mother is starting to warm up to this dress a lil more i just dont see the problem its a beautiful dress. i think people think too much about what dress they would want and they dont keep in mind that this is not there dress its your dress. i have alot of friends that got married and i did not like there wedding dress but i would never dare say that to them lol but why do they feel its ok to say something to me? i think i need to stop showing them they did not ask me or show me there dress at all i seen it the day of the wedding. im going to show a few key people this saturday most important my MIL i want her to see it but im going to stop letting people sway me. im going to get what i love ; ) heres a pic of the other dress im thinking of
and i wanna see that pic of your dress ; )

its just soooo heave but i love this one too
@HisNightOwl2014: I think the first one you linked is more special. But it's your wedding!
I decided a few days ago that I'm not going to post pictures of myself in my dress online, even if I blur/block my face. I just can't. I'm sorry.
@Christy42213: OMG its so beautiful i bet you look stunning in it.
and i agree w you on the posting pics on line ive done it so much without thinking about it its kinda too late i just make sure not to post too many pics.
i agree with you i love the first one more it seems more timeless and elegant to me it has that slight vintage feel that goes with my accessories and the shape of the bling on that dress kinda matches the pattern of the lace from my grandmothers dress that im making a reception veil out of. im almost 100% sure when the time comes to order that will be my dress. when i have it on i don't want to take it off lol the dress is so comfortable and easy to wear i want to be able to dance and hug everyone especially my husband that night ; ) he said he could care less what dress im in its my dress all he cares about is taking it off. hes so bad lol
