I've just started my wedding planning and we are having around 200 people but don't really want to go to much over 200. How many are you guys having?
Well we started out with 120...but now we have 220! (yikes!) It is going to be fun to include more people, though so we are making it work
We started out thinking 200-250, but it's getting closer to 300. I'm excited, but some days I secretley wish to elope.
Hmm...between 160-180...hoping it falls within the lower range!
Wre originally thinking between 200-250...but then we fell in love with a venue with a 150 cap, so we've cut our list to about 140 (hoping for closed to 120 to show so it does't feel too squished). I have a really big, really closed family, so it breaks my heart that we can't invite EVERYone we'd like.
We are inviting around 400. Our reception venue can hold about 330.
Most of our guests are families, so if one declines, it usually knocks out about 3.
wow @junebee10 that is huge. we are inviting 315/320 or so and hopefully will end up somewhere between 250 and 300.
Inviting 225 but anticipate it will be more like 140 since a bunch are courtesy invites. Heavy hors d'oeuvres in the afternoon, though one caterer said "oh, people will expect enough to make a full meal" - really? at 2:30 pm? Then they'll have to be disappointed, lady-who-is-trying-to-upsell-me.
We'll be somewhere between 150-200. Its a pretty big range that obviously impacts cost a TON (we're doing a buffet-style dinner reception) so I'm really anxious to get the official RSVPs!
WE have 207 on the guest list. 105 have RSVP'd so far. Only 2 have said no, so I'm starting to think we won't get down to the 150 I estimated.....
Ugh- how embarassing is it that I don't even know anymore? I think it is somewhere in the 420+ range.
PLUS- my dad (who refused to give me his guest list) keeps saying things like "Let me know how many people can't come, cause I've got a ton of people I've got to invite to this thing."
And he's not kidding.
250, hoping to get around 210 actually coming.
I got invited to a wedding last year that was almost 800 people. I didn't go but I can only imagine what it would have been like.
Whew, some of you ladies know a ton of people! We're inviting about 225 and estimating about 175 will come...But who knows?? It's a source of nervousness for me...
i have 200 so far, but that was my first list. I'm thinking it'll be 250 or so. I'm all for a huge guestlist, the more the merrier!!! My wedding is in Puerto Rico, but 75% of the guestlist already live there, and it's xmas eve, and what puerto rican doesn't love a good xmas eve party, so i'm assuming most will be coming!
Well....we'll probably invite around 260 - 275. Hoping to get no more than 250 which would about 200 RSVPs with approx. 35 children and 15 potential crashers.
I'm no longer as paniced about my list but it still seems huge!
guest list is at 320 (so far) not including boyfriends or +1 for anyone! we're hoping for 220-250. we are about 75% out of town and distant relatives. so we'll see!
I have no idea. I have Mr. KM's list, and my parents list... I haven't even bothered making mine til I see how many that ads up to!
Miss Biner, you'd be really surprised how many people you know! I was hoping to have 100-125 guests but it looks like we will be lucky to keep it at 200! We are inviting about 280 but many of those are courtesy invitations/out of towners who will not travel. My DOC said to expect 2/3 to 3/4 - 185 to 210. Definitely bigger than what we would prefer, but that would as small as we could get it without excluding any people we are close to, and we didn't want to do that. We even had to make some hard cuts to get it down to that!
Well, we just mailed out 2,000 invitations today, but are expecting about 700 people. My fiance's dad is the head pastor of our church, and the whole family has been very involved with the church for the last 15 years, so it's important to us to include those who would like to be included. It's going to be a huge party!
our guest list is 250-300, we're assuming everyone will come (mostly family believe it or not..) luckily our venue is onky 20-30 dollars a plate! PHEW!
300 to the Korean wedding - and 200 of those are coworkers we MUST invite! It's horrible! 100 to the Canadian wedding (and only 5 are double invites to the Canadian and Korean weddings). So that means 400 in total.
wwooww you guys are having some huge weddings! Originally it was 150.. it's up to about 210 now.
We're still working on ours but so far we're sending about 125 invites. Most of those are people of families of 4 with only about 30single people who are invited to bring a guest. We're welcoming a big bash. We like people. :) All of our families are invited, but we doubt most will come as they all live in another state.
Is 200 considered big? My mom has told me that anything over 100 is big but I think her opinions are outdated :)
We started with 450, I refused to invite more than 350 (ha!), and we have about 250 coming!
wow you guys are having some HUGE weddings.
We originally said 80 which will run us 11,000 just for the ceremony and reception including food and open bar (no decorations)
but it's so hard to keep it that small!
It's awkward when i run into people and they bring up the wedding, i feel bad about how many people we can't invite :(
