We're not registering for china. We've already got nice plates, nothing fancy, but cute, sturdy and functional.
Looove ours, but the future grandparents in law already gave them to us- in full including serving pieces, etc. craziness.

For a formal set, we registered for Spode Blue Italian - which I've been obsessed with since grade school. Love it! :)
For a more casual set (although its about the same price as the Spode) is Lenox Butler's Pantry. It's so classic and understated - I'm obsessed.
We were originally just going to register for Spode... and then I saw the Lenox stuff. :)
