Count me as a "yes." Definitely. (And, i think, about two-thirds of the people on here, for real!) Maybe after the wedding I'll see my family again... heh ... heh... heh??
Uh *raises hand*
I think in the last month I've posted on WB like over 900 times? IN ONE MONTH. I have a sickness I tell you.
My excuse is that my FI lives 3000 miles away lol. I just came back from his place in August & thats when I picked up my posting... WB is replacing my loneliness from being so far from him during this planning. :)
Definitely!!! In a LDR, I think I end up online searching for ideas whenever I miss him. :)
I'll admit it too...i have an addiction! In the beginning I was terrified of planning...but now i LOVE it!!! I'm always looking up ideas and looking for inspiration! So you're definitely not alone :)
@daydream: I think some of the major posters on here are in LDR... WB definitely distracts us. :)
Yeah... when I start spacing out in class, I start thinking about wedding stuff.
I totally am! Before we got engaged I was knee deep in helping my FSIL and brother and now it's my wedding. FSIL wanted nothing to do with planning her wedding...said I just want someone to show me a picture and that's what I want - My mom and I were the ones going to tastings for her! I don't get it...I rather enjoy planning and looking for ideas.
Glad to know there are other wedding planning obsessed brides (and grooms) out there!
Haha, its funny you say that!! I was attached to our computer too a couple months ago until Fi was getting upset that I wasnt spending enough time with him, so I eased up a lot!! So now I just do it @ work!! Wedding planning is so much fun I can't help it!
I work at a computer all day and we are really slow right now sooo.... surfing and reading all these posts is what I do. It is almost a little disturbing of how much time is spent looking at wedding stuff!
This should read "who isn't obsessing over wedding planning", I think it'd get very few comments. LOL
i am a definate "Yes!" to this! It took 8 months of being engaged, but something about when we hit the 12 months to the wedding date clicked something in my head and I've been obsessed since! I try to resist, but I always get sucked back in!
I'm about to start obsessing! Been engaged 2 weeks and I'm already stalking wedding bee lol
LOl I'm obsessed and I'm not even engaged yet! Soon, my friends, soon.
KMSull: Hang in there! You know, when you do finally get engaged, the minute you announce it to people they will ask you what your wedding colors are, when is your date, where is it going to be, and all of these other stressful details. You will have a distinct advantage which is that you will already know the answers to those questions!
Haha....ohhhhhhhhh yes.
I'm still unemployed and wedding planning is keeping me sane. Look for work, search for Moroccan table lamps. Look for work, find the best price for pashminas. Etc etc etc. I'm going to be sooooooooooooo prepared once our wedding rolls around.
i am in the same boat as kmsull!! not engaged yet but still obsessed... and although we are not LDR he works all the time and he owns a nightclub so I'm home a lot bored out of my mind!!
MissHelen: same with me, exactly.
I love WB and the Knot and all this wedding planning stuff! Its so much fun. Lucky for me I am helping my best friend plan her wedding too, so I am always looking for either or both of us!
I feel like these days all I do is talk about the wedding!
Before, I got engaged, I think that I was a fairly interesting person but now all I do is eat, breathe and sleep wedding planning.
Sometimes, I have to remind myself that not everyone wants to hear about my wedding planning and that I should talk about other things but it's hard at times.
As stressful as it may be sometimes. I absolutely love being engaged and planning my wedding and wouldn't give it up for anything!
haha yeah! me too! & obsessing about the planning has brought me here-which leads the FI to be annoyed that I'm here instead of doing homework...like right now....
I am with you on that. Fi is in Iraq and although I have planned it all, I keep looking. Wedding Planning is an addiction. I got in town Sun night at 8 and did not go to sleep until 4 pm Mon eve after taking tylenol pm. This is not healthy
Ummm, I'm obsessed with wedding planning and I'm not even getting married! I'm just obsessed with helping plan the weddings I'm in! I'm going to be ridiculous whenever I get engaged!
I am so with you ladies,,,,,I can;t stop thinkikng and reviewing all the flower options , photograhper styles, bridal gowns and ways to decorate my hall....any scared about being bored after all this is done ! I am.... :)
It is the VERY FUN being a " bride-to-be"
My FI tells me that I am OBSESSED with our wedding. I hate to admit that I totally am.
I am trying to get the most fabulous wedding I can on our budget which I think is TOTALLY doable. But ... as I explained to him, it takes time and effort to do so.
I get up, post/look at WB, throughout the day, I look and post on WB, and before I go to sleep I am on WB. I fall asleep EVERY NIGHT looking at wedding stuff and then my FI takes the computer away and I wake up and scream "NOOOOO I WAS LOOKING AT THAT" and we play tug of war for 30 seconds before I fall back asleep.
It's totally ridiculous. My co-worker (a guy) told me that my FI needs at least 1 day that is wedding-free. I decided it's THURSDAY. So, every thursday, I do not say anything to the FI about weddings and he really appreciates it :)
I'm with you, girls! I am not even engaged but I am always watching the wedding shows, sneaking peeks of the bridal magazines (at the store, when nobody is looking), and shopping online for rings, dresses, etc. It is really addicting, probably to a bad point, lol. I dont tell the BF just how much i have pre-planned bc I don't want to freak him out, but at least we will have an idea of what we want when the time comes, even if we change some things based on what he wants. I want to become an event (not just wedding) planner, as I have done some in the past (and I am a stage manager--very similar), so all of these things get me REALLY excited!!

I have to say that I have been attached to my computer! From looking for toasting glasses, to favors, to what to write on our invitations, I am suprised my computer has not had a breakdown! Have you been attached to your computer?
Just remember to still spend some time with your honey! Don't let looking for all the wedding details come in between spending some quality time with him!
