Oh my…DH and I have had a massive Ikea addiction recently. We ordered our whole bedroom set from there, and even the art ha. I only have one picture of the bed, but you can also see 2 of my adorable cats on it, so why not? Also, pardon the mess.

Okay, it’s more a picture of my dog on the antique bed I repainted, but if you look closely, you can see my $20 Lindved (I think that’s the name) table next to the bed. Hehe. Looove IKEA!

goingtotherooftopoflove:  I’m Swedish, so I have to love it by default. It’s to the extent that my husband takes me there when I’m homesick (we live in Canada and he’s Canadian). Always makes me happier to walk around there and read all the names on the furniture – because you know most of them are real Swedish names/words right?

Like,RedHeadKel: , the name of your bedside table means linden wood.

We’re expecting a baby in December, and if everything goes according to plan we’ll spend many happy hours shopping at IKEA! 🙂

Until then, our latest purchase… a desk for my study. I absolutely love it.

I buy a lot of stuff from Ikea, but mix it in with lots of different pieces so that it doesn’t look like we live in an Ikea catalog. I find that I like their marketplace/decorative stuff better than their furniture, as modern/Swedish isn’t really our style. That said, our bed, TV stand (that I’m currently looking to replace) and bar cart (which is really one of their small kitchen carts) are all from Ikea. A LOT of our kitchen/serving ware is from Ikea, though – you just can’t beat their prices on that kind of stuff. I also love their plant selection!

goingtotherooftopoflove:  Your house looks awesome! I’m intrigued with your staircase haha. Also, I think I might need to go buy that little cart shelf for my bathroom.

goingtotherooftopoflove: Thank you! We’ll most definitely have a bunch of IKEA stuff for the nursery, mixed up with a few old pieces. So far the plan is to get a simple crib, and then advance up to this:

once kid gets a little bigger. That way we can all squeeze in together if small one have a bad dream one night!

And I totally agree, cutest cart ever – I use it for my drawing supplies and sometimes as a cat mobile…
