So I am thinking of doing a trash the dress session for our one year wedding anniversary in November (I just really want to wear my dress again and some of the trash the dress photos I have seen look soooo awesome and pretty). I don’t want to literally trash (wreck) the dress but I want to do something with water, pool, lake, beach etc.
I’d love to do it at the beach but I don’t really like the idea of others looking at us lol. So anyone do a session at the beach. Did you have a lot of onlookers? Any idea how to prevent this…
Or my in law have a pool, that would be ok because it’s private…but the pool area isn’t that big.
Or any other idea that you may have seen/done? I don’t want anything too messy or damaging. Like paint, I think those photos look cool but I couldn’t do that to my dress.

Sounds great! But be careful. A bride drowned in Quebec during a trash the dress session. The weight of her dress pulled her into the current. I like the pool idea 🙂

@Kimy: Hi thanks…I actually did hear that, very sad. I was just talking to my husband about it and I said just make sure I stay above water/can come up for air becasue my dress has lots of layers. I bet it’s really heavy when wet. Maybe the pool would be safest. I can stay in the shallow and there is no current.

You’ll be so focused on shooting you wont even notice people looking at you. Id go for the beach! Ive put plenty of dresses in water with no damage.:D
Do it during the week if you can, early morning will have the least amount of people or during evening. Morning and evening lighting is best to shoot in anyways. 🙂

@Styles: 🙂 I think the beach would make for very pretty photos. Evening going into sunset would be very nice. Thanks for the advice 🙂
