Ours don’t match. I agree that the symbolism should be the most important part. But we each chose rings that suited our personalities. I think matching is a great way to have that connection though, just wasn’t something important to us particularly.

ours will both be white gold and diamonds, but that’s where the similarities end…

Ours are going to match- cant wait! I was surprised how hard it was to find a place that would let me get a matching ring that was thinner, but I love what we ended up with! FI designed them too, which is pretty neat, and I love how they turned out! (sorry for the big pic)

Ours don’t match and based on the setting of my ring and we knew they wouldn’t.  My husband would look silly with a micropave band of diamonds!  Additionally, his Celtic design wouldn’t go with my setting, either.  He wasn’t even sure he wanted a band because he can’t wear it most of the time (due to work), but once I showed him the Celtic one, he was excited.  So know he wears his giant sized 13.5 (!!) ring around the house and when we go out 🙂

Ours do not match at all. I would have loved to have matching bands, but my husband really really wanted tungsten and I am a yellow gold girl. We wear completely opposite wedding bands, but they suit our individual style perfectly! I have to admit, even though I really wanted him to wear a yellow gold band I LOVE seeing that big ol’ tungsten ring on his finger! Smile

I definitely do think it’s so sweet when couples have matching wedding rings though!

That is a nice concept for your matching rings! We are aiming for matching w/ some engraving also. We haven’t narrowed down anything as that will be the last task to do right before we run off this summer.

We haven’t got the whole set yet but our three rings (my engagement and wedding ring, and his wedding ring) will probably “go” (not be exactly the same, but share common traits, like they’re obviously from the same family).

I am also getting him a man-gagement ring made, and it’s not going to match the others whatsoever, but that’s because he’s only going to wear it on his left hand before we get married, and after that, it becomes a right-hand “special occasion” ring.

Ours match. No pictures, but just plain straightforward bands. The only difference is the width – mine is 3mm and his is 5mm.

I love matching bands but ours don’t match. His is black tungsten with a black diamond and I was originally going to do an eternity band but ended up preferring a plain platinum band so I won’t ever have to take it off. So with my e-ring on I have white metal with a white diamond which I think goes with his black metal with black stone.
