nola brides, i'm planning a destination wedding and am thinking about day-of beauty. what vendors have you booked for hair and makeup? i'm wanting someone to come to the house to do us, and am potentially interested in airbrush. I'd like to book a trial on my next visit in march, so am actively looking for referrals- any input?

I can't help you about NOLA, but I found the cost of having a real professional come to me to be prohibitive. We're going to a Red Door Spa Salon instead, which is certainly NOT cheap, and it's like 33% the cost of having someone come to us, plus we can all get done simultaneously. I was upset about it at first because I had this dream of us all getting ready in this absolutely beautiful penthouse suite overlooking the ocean, but... reality.

I am using Jessica with Just Face It. I already had my trial, and she did a really good job. I also know other brides who have used make up artists at Make Me Up and have been very satisfied.

i just booked a trial with flawless bride... just face it is booked for my wedding day already. i'm SO nervous.

Booked already for october? Wow. I considered Flawless Bride as well, but I didn't know anyone personally who had used them. I wouldn't worry; I'm sure it'll all work out.
