I journal, and it’s 100% private. No one sees it except for me. I have a five year journal that gives you a few lines to jot down feelings and events each day for five years, and it’s fun to see what I was doing X years ago on this day. I usually do that at night each day. I also have a more standard blank journal with a hot pink cover that I try to write in every so often, usually when I’m stressed or just have the time!

MargaritaVille :  I LOVE journaling!!! Last year it was my New Year’s resolution to write down three positive things that happened to me that day. I usually did it in the mornings (for the previous day) and it really helped me stay positive regardless of other negative things that may have been taking place. I kind of fell off the wagon this year with wedding planning and all, but I do miss it! I feel it’s good for the soul! I am always telling my FI it would be so good for him to get out some anxiety and fears! But he worries about “someone finding it and reading it someday” He’s a nut! LOL

I keep mine entirely private. I tend to buy ones that have something inspirational on the front and/or Irish looking 🙂

MargaritaVille :  I totally recommend the five year journals– I’m on my second one, and  it’s so fun to just flip through the old one sometimes to remember what I was up to! Mine aren’t themed like the Happiness Project one though. I haven’t read it yet but it’s definitely on my radar! I see it every once in a while and go “Oh, I should finally read that ” haha.

MargaritaVille :  Do it, Bee! You can only benefit from it!!! I think it’s great you want to work on yourself! I think more people should be like that! 🙂

I’ve always been a chronic journal writer! I only write online as I’m too paranoid someone witll find it. My domain changes depending on the phase of life I’m at. Most sites related to one thing (fitness, parenting, etc.) have a blog section (I was surprised WB didn’t have one) so I write there when that’s what I’m involved in.

I journal, but I’m super duper private, so I do it in a private wordpress blog. On my home computer, I only ever log into it via incognito mode, but I mostly log in and write during the day at work. A lot of my thoughts and anxieties invovle my SO, so I would NEVER feel comfortable writing everything down in a book that got left around the house. It’s nice b/c I never have to worry about losing anything. I can go back in posts for years and see what I was thinking back then.

I kept a diary when I was a kid through my teens.  I stopped when I went to college.  Now I have a cooking journal.  I write down all of my recipes and notes about what I liked, didnt like, or would change next time.  Sometimes I include a story related to the food.  I do not journal everyday or even every week.  After the first year I realized that I cook a lot of the same foods over and over.  But every now and then I will try something new and it goes into my journal!

I use a hard cover black sprial bound sketch pad.  I guess its about 5×7, I got it at craft store where they keep the artist supplies.  the paper quality is excellent!  I use multi-colored gel pens to bring the pages to life.

Surprisingly the cooking journal does help me think through problems in my life and also helps me de-stress.  I do share the recipes when asked.  Its just food!  But if it were my Diary I would keep it under lock and key.  I tried keeping one a few years back.  It lasted for 3 days because DH read it (accidently) and laughed.  Im still not over the humiliation.

Two months ago, I started writing 5 things I’m grateful for each day in a paper journal.

I also use the Journey app to journal on my phone. I’ve been keeping an electronic journal for years.

I have a journal that I write in occasionally, maybe once or twice a month. I only really write in it when I’ve had a really good day or had an event that I want to remember.

I also have a couples journal. My fiance started it when he first started to think about proposing and gave it to me when he proposed. I write in it every now and again

I’ve been writing in a journal since I was 13, so for 20 years now. But I’m also a pen addict and stationery addict as well. Love fountain pens.

I write in it as much or as little as I want and it’s definitely private and no one will ever see the content. But it’s a great way to get things off your chest and sometimes writing it out helps me look at things in different light and think it through clearly.

I write in mine probably every 2-3 days or so. It helps me deal with my feelings, and is helpful for me to remember what was going on in my life (I have a terrible memory)! Mine right now is just a random one I got at the local bookstore. I’m trying to use it up so I can move to one with better quality paper – I use fountain pens, and the ink doesn’t always play well with the cheaper paper I’m using now. And no, SO has been warned not to peek 😜

Yes, but it’s more of a pocket notebook for all of my lists rather than journaling. Some of these lists are personal/emotional, while others are grocery lists, to-do lists or tracking expenses lists.
