The Kardashians and pretty much any washed up celebrity. My FMIL lives on all of these forgotten celebrity reality shows that come on E! and I hate them! The other day she was watching Ice Loves Coco. I know Ice-T was popular a while ago, but I've never even heard of his wife and I really don't feel like watching their life play out. There is nothing interesting about any of these people, at all. It is purely f'n sickening to see them shopping for Versace and D&G, driving around in their Benz, then coming home to a pallatial mansion in which the furnishings of one room are more expensive than my entire home. Meanwhile, all of us are struggling to put gas in our cars.
It seems as though it'd be easier to say those who deserve the credit/fame due to their legitimate talent.
So many obnoxious "celebrities" out there...it makes my head hurt.
I hate that show! Who gives a flying freak about coco? Why do we care about a has been rappers wife?@!*!!!
KIM KARDASHIAN but mostly all the Kardashians, including their good for nothing mom. How are you going to make a family famous off one sister's sex tape? OMG and their baby voices and ridiculous fights where they're like "Khloe you're a slut' "Shut up Kourtney, whore." Grow up!!
My mom called me last night giggling because she knows I hate the Kardashians and she just found out Kim's wedding is this weekend too. LOL.
The Kardashians popped into my head as soon as I saw this thread title. Heidi and Spencer are good examples too!

Honestly - they really don't irritate me. If I could make more money than I knew what to do with just by being me and letting someone film my life, I'd be all over it too!
ETA: Granted, I don't think anyone would really want to watch my life. It isn't filled with enough drama to make for good TV.

But I may be the only one on the Bee or in America that likes the Kardashians lol I think they are hilarious to watch its mindless television that I find humor in the way some people watch South Park or something lol

I don't care about any of it. We recently got rid of cable (I netflix or hulu anything we want to watch.
The ONLY reason I care about Kim's wedding at all is because I heard she was going to be doing the SAME themed wedding I want to do (I've been with my guy for 8 years, we've been discussing this theme since the first month we started dating.).
If she had done the same theme....it would have made prices SKYROCKET!!!!! Also, I just know some people at work would keep asking me, "OMG you're copying Kim Kardashian....I can't believe you're doing that...yadda yadda yadda." I'd be afraid that my only reaction would be to turn into the hulk, while telling everyone I don't give a flippin' flip about the Kardashians or anything about their weddings.
PHEW! Thank goodness she's getting hitched now.

This is hilarious! I pretty much agree with everyone. I don't even know what the Kardashians are famous for... I don't watch their show.... but everyone is still screaming about them and it confuses me.
The Kardashians are famous because the father was a lawyer for OJ Simpson I think. Then his daughter made a sex tape. I bet he's proud.

I can't stand any of those "Basketball Wives" chicks. None of them have any class and NONE of them are even basketball wives. I hate the show!
Ugh. The Kardashians. What does that say about America? They are famous because Kim made a sex tape and her father was a lawyer in a huge trial? She can't sing, dance, cook, ect. She hasn't done anything like Princess Diana or Mother Theresa. She hasn't discovered a cure for anything. She hasn't spent years in the rain forest and found 100 new species of whatever.
Any of the reality show rejects. Jersey Shore, Real Housewives (let's face it. They aren't really representing the average American housewife) Teen Mom (oh let's follow a bunch of preggo teens and then pay them a crazy amount of money, but still force them to pretend to struggle)
I like shows like Dance Your Ass Off. At least those people were struggling with weight loss and changed their lives! I'm friends with Toya and Adame on Facebook and they still look great!
@Miss Tattoo: I mean I get that she hasn't saved the world but I don't hate her for figuring out that people were interested in her and milking it. It's entertainment, as long as people are entertained and willing to watch and pay then she will always have a job.
@basketballwifetobe: That's the thing though. Entertainment use to mean you needed some sort of talent to make it. Now we are telling young girls that they can be Kim famous if they take care of their bodies (or if they don't have it, buy it) , make a sex tape, and then "leak" it to the public. American's are suckers for a pretty face. It may work faster with those with money though. No one cared about Paris Hiltion until her sex tape was "leaked".
I'm not knocking those who do like her. I just don't see the appeal. Without all of the make up and photoshop techniques, she doesn't look any more amazing than another girl on the street.

The Majority of known Actors and Actresses. Those people live like kings and make exuberant amounts of money. I can't believe the idolization and worship we create as a society towards celebs. What producers spend to make one stinkin film, could literally help millions of people, yet its something that gets watched once by a select amount of people and then goes to DVD and collects dust.

@Miss Tattoo: I agree. IMO, reality TV represents a much larger problem in society. Kids are being raised with absolutely no incentive to work hard or to be ethical.

And I definitely agree with the Kardashians. Though I will admit I was impressed when I found out how Kim Kardashian started making money on her own. She would get her dad to loan her money and then go buy designer stuff. She'd sell that stuff on Ebay for more than she bought it for. She would pay her dad back (with interest, I think) and keep the rest of the money. I do like that about her. Everything else though...ehhhh not so much.
I think the Real Housewives are the worst! And since one of the Beverly Hills' wives' husband committed suicide last night, you know its not healthy for their families for their drama (both real and created for the show) to be played out on tv and in the media. My heart breaks for their kids who didn't choose this life or their whackadoodle parents. Especially Theresa Giudice's kids that she parades on a magazine cover every week as she proclaims they are "victims". UGHHHHH.
And then the Kardashians. Can. Not. Stand. Them. I wish they would squeeze their fat asses back into obscurity. Rant over.
Ugh, all of these people mentioned annoy me for their being famous with no talent. The Kardashians are famous because Kim is beautiful and had a sex tape. Why is that something to idolize? I just really don't care to focus on celebrities in general but c'mon- Jersey Shore crew? They get noticed everywhere they go.. for being orange drunk ppl w/ too much hair product.

My FMIL loves all of those stupid ass shows, and I want to scream because she assumes I like them too and always wants to talk about them/watch them with me. She watches the Housewives of NJ, which I am not big on, either. Wow, your husband has made a fortune as a mafioso, and you're a lazy, entitled bitch. Go you! I'm sorry, but a construction business is not going to produce that much wealth. I'm not stupid. I have lots of relatives from the NJ/NY area, and I know the way things work.
The Little Couple show is just overkill. It was interesting to see a special about how small people live and function in the world. However, 50 episodes about the same general theme is just too much. We're small, but we can still do anything you can do! Okay, that's wonderful. I don't need to go with you to fertility treatments.
99% of them don't annoy me at all. That's really just because I don't care, though. I watch almost no reality TV, so I don't know who most reality people are anyways.
I will say that I loved The Hills when I was in college, so I vote for hating Heidi and Spencer..although really just Spencer. I think she's just crazy and can't help it. He's an ass.
I lived in LA for several years, and a lot of the wannabes there were more annoying than the famous for nothing reality stars :P
Is The Hills about some girl who supposedly graduated from FIDM?? First-hand source tells me she only took one class per quarter just to say she was attending, then never finished her degree! Now she claims she graduated from there when the truth is she was too lazy to complete an ASSOCIATES DEGREE. And she somehow claims to have expertise on fashion. Lame.

i like the kardashians. courtney is my favorite because her weird sarcastic personality reminds me of myself. kim first got noticed from hanging out with paris and then all of a sudden the paparazzi started following kim around and she basically stole the spotlight from paris. and anyone who can steel the spotlight from paris hilton is a winner in my book lol
and yes robert kardashian was on the OJ murder trial and their father who died, so they were just rich girls from L.A. who probably went to school with a lot of socialites and children of movie stars, and were in that crowd. hey at least they all work and have the Dash stores that they run and Chloe does radio. they're not just like sitting around doing nothing, they're out there using the cards they were dealt and laughing all the way to the bank.
