My wedding is in ohhh about 6 weeks. AAAAAAh! I am so nervous, excited and um nervous. Its so funny, its like I have so much to do and really stressing out! I am not nervous spending my life w/ my FI. We have been together 5 years, its just the wedding part. Walking down the aisle, muttering to myself. "Don't trip, don't cry for godsakes don't pass out. Keep walking, you are NOT GOING TO THROW UP." Its going to be an experience. I got my dress fitting in End of DEC, beginning of Jan. They told me I cut it a little close. I go in for my 2nd fitting end of Feb.
mmeeeee! i'm getting married in april. my dress hasn't come in yet! my bridesmaids got their dresses. one ordered a size too small and broke her zipper!!!! so she has some weight to take off quickly:)
@ Teaserama congrats! Wow 6 weeks! So exciting! You will be a beautiful bride who will walk down the aisle like an angel! Im nervous about that part too!
@Butrfly...good luck when your dress comes in and your bridesmaid might be able to have someone fix that for her and take the dress out some...good luck.
The store told me about 6 weeks before the wedding to come in for a fitting and alterations...im hoping that will be ok!
i'm at the end of feb! i didn't get a real "wedding dress" so i don't need a fitting. unfortunately, it used to be too big when i bought it but now it fits perfect. gained weight, but saving money on alterations. oh well. and my bridesmaids bought dresses from department stores so no fittings for them either. we're feeling pretty good about what we have left to do. did the seating chart today so i'm hoping to do the escort cards tomorrow, we're having our tasting on valentine's day, hair trial next week, have to finish baking the cookies for favors, sat i have my 2nd bachelorette party! oh, and we have to get our marriage licence. i think i'm ready and nervous.
I'm a may bride. I am having my first fitting saturday mornin, a little early imo but they ordered the dress too big( and I've lost a bit of weight) so there are a lot of alterations needed.
@ARTBEEE...MMM COOKIES!! LOL. Yeah Im waiting to see who is coming to do a seating chart. I have a good idea but still want to wait. Your wedding sounds beautiful...congrats and good luck.
@ Lindsay...im sorry they ordered it too big...but it will look perfect on your wedding day.
I gained a little holiday weight and just got back on my workout program I was doing and feel very good!
@dmarie. definitley wait with guest list! we would always try to guess, and we went from thinking we had 110, to 120, and i think now we're at 94 (still waiting for 2 to rsvp even though the deadline was jan. 28th and 2 people have threatened to back out).
@Artbee...wow threatened to back out? Do you mean to come to your wedding or people in your wedding party?
Yeah I love getting the RSVPs!! I think Ive gotten at least one every day so far since sending them out last week!! Its exciting...but a lot of ppl want steak instead of chicken!! LOL!
March 27th, in what is that 7 weeks, wow!...that just hit me. I have my first fitting tomorrow. My dress finally came in this week. My junior bridesmaid and MOH both need alterations, the dress is tight up at the top. All of the other ones need it hemmed.
And the invitations were mailed out today! You can see my postage mishap that I posted in the "paper" section, but they're out, whoo-hoo! So many other details do still. Like candy shopping, I look forward to that one, but won't beign until after Valentine's day, that way I can get some good deals. Then there is all of the finaly payments and revisiting with vendors.
eep! 6 weeks here! Final fittings at the end of this month and another at the begining of March (my seamstress thinks I am going to waste away to nothing) Pretty sure that most everythign else is ready to go though!
My wedding is just a week before yours and my first fitting is this weekend. It's a little early, I just don't want to wait anymore. I think we're on track with pretty much everything but we still don't have honeymoon plans, a hotel (or even the block and I need that info now! maybe I should just do it myself), or booked our baker. We have talked to the baker at least...I'm definitely starting to reach panic mode.
My wedding is in May and my dress has not come in yet. According to the bridal salon, it was scheduled to ship the last week of January... should I be worried? Hah.
My bridesmaid's dresses came in just this week.
about 6 weeks for me! i went in for my first fitting in mid-january, and have two more fittings scheduled for february--i did it a bit on the early side, though, because i have to ship my dress out to california and i wanted to leave enough time for any screw-ups.
My wedding is April 17th, and I just had my first dress fitting last night actually. I have another one scheduled at the end of February, and my final one will be scheduled for some time in March. :)
Heyyyyyy, you're getting married the Saturday after me! Congrats! :D It's coming up so fast!
I met with my seamstress last week and she said to come 6 weeks before the wedding for the first fitting. So I'll be going to see her in a few weeks. This is exciting everyone! Crunch time is on...my nerves are starting to feel it. But I'm getting more and more excited too. :)
Mine is April 10th and I went for the first fitting the first week of January. Had my 2nd fitting the last week of January. The 3rd fitting the first week of March and another if needed. My bridesmaids should go get theirs fit sometime next month. I have two prego BMs so I'm not sure what to expect with them
My wedding is April 17th as well, and I had my first fitting last weekend, and my second one is coming up in another week! They're planning to do them about every 2-3 weeks until the wedding I think.
April 23rd. I did my first fitting last week. If another is necessary, I'll do it in the middle of March.
My wedding is April 16th! Very nervous and super anxious.....dress fitting/alterations complete....mailing invites this weekend..can't wait til the rsvp's roll in:-) Only lots of final payments remain...and oh I still haven't decided on my shoes or jewelry....but I have plenty of time for that, right?...lol
@dmarie, non of my wedding party is backing out! just two of our guests, might be out of town. i feel like we'll never get our final number.

8 WEEEEKKKKSSSSSSSS!!!!!! yes, i am screaming because I am so unprepared. My reception dress has not been altered. My parish priest feels like he is Brad Pitt and he's so hard to get a hold of. My budget, which was originally $10,000, is likely gonna be slightly below $30,000 when all is said and done. My bridesmaids dresses are still not here. I don't have a videographer, photographer and make up artist.

@msgthoney....i know right now it seems stressful but i know it will all come together...I was feeling the same way a few weeks ago...I was so stressed out but everything seems to be coming together. Good luck to you.

My wedding is March 13th and my fitting is next week! SO excited!!! I just got my shoes today and I haven't taken them off since they showed up on my doorstep! :)

April 10! I'm starting to scramble for things. I just ordered my invitations today, still need limos, bridesmaids dresses won't be here until mid March if I'm lucky and one has to be shipped to the UK so my BM can get it fitted at home. There's so much to do and I'm realizing that 2 months is NOT a lot of time. Starting to freak out a little and am already a bit sad that the wedding will be over. It's like Christmas, all that build up, one day and it's gone! Good thing is I'll have somebody by my side for the rest of my life when it's all done.
April 3rd here. Just over 6 or 7 weeks to go. My wedding is VERY simple cause I didn't want any stress, unfortunately, drama still finds me, lol.
@Jenn23 I know where Exton is! Not too far from Lancaster/Lebanon right? Theres another blizzard coming too!
@BeesGees....everything does come at a rush doesnt it and all for one day is what I was thinking the other day. I said to myself, "Wow this is all for one day?!" But you know what its one day that you will remember forever and one that that will last forever because you will be married! One day to celebrate your love with your new husband, your friends, your family!! Good luck. :)
@Loveapril...I think no matter how small any kind of party or gather is going to be stressful...but simple is always better than big and over dramatic! Good luck to you.

Hey D.Marie...they are saying 18-24 inches possible..this is just crazy! Where will all this snow go? No, Exton is between Philly and Lancaster in Chester County. I'm only 20 min. from King of Prussia and 10 min. from West Chester.
LoveApril...I'm keeping it simple too! We have only two people in our bridal party, guest list of about 70 and yet I'm still stressing too. Guess drama finds me too. :) Good luck!
24th April here! I tried on my dress in December, but my proper fitting is 6 weeks before the wedding (mid March). My bridesmaids are wearing Alfred Angelo dresses, so they'll have fittings in March as well.
@dmarie: thanks!!! at least i got my photographer down. I still need a videographer and a limo. My BM's dresses are arriving next week. Whew!

@Jenn23....o ok...I was thinking of Ephrata! LOL! My MOH lives out that way! Crazy about this snow...my work is closing tomorrow! I think a lot of places will be. Be careful.
We tried to keep it simple, about 80-85 ppl I think its 95 now! Nothing is ever simple when it comes to planning a party!! Never planning any more parties or weddings for ANYONE! Hopefully no one asks me to be their MOH...god bless mine!

Anyone on tonight that is getting married in the next 2-3 months? When are you going for your first dress fitting? Do your bridesmaids need dress fittings? My two stepdaughters to be need changes in their dresses! The one dress is too big and the other is a little too tight. My veil just came in the other day!! I think I may pick it up on Monday and then go for a hair trial next week with the veil! What do you have left to do? Are you ready, nervous, excited?
