Im using a lady i know personally. (but also does cakes professionally) im having a 3 tiered square cake that serves about 150.... redvelvet with cream cheese filling. about $4 a slice...PM me if you want her info.
I used Jodee's bakery in Temecula and I was told by my guests that it was the best wedding cake they ever had. There were no leftovers! They also did an amazing job on decorating it!
Holy Sheet Custom Cakes, she's located in west Charlotte, but will deliver to any local area for like $20. She charged $220 for a four tier, square cake for my friend's wedding. Carolina Cake Artistry is doing our wedding cake. Flavors lemon and vanilla and its is to die for good and moist. Located in Monroe, NC her cakes is sooooooo good can't wait. Here is a sample of our cake with minor changes we added gold bands to the middle tier and a few other changes, but it is similar going to look good with out gold monogram "H" cake topper.
Whoops price is not bad either around 300 for four tier cake.
Me! I am making my own cake and I don't care if it doesn't turn out professional. I know I bake awesome tasting cakes and this one will be no different. Fingers are crossed that my cake decorating classes will help me make it pretty.

So, I have to admit that I have no idea who to go to as far as wedding cakes in Charlotte (and I'm willing to look throughout the Metro)
I know there are plenty of paid vendors, but do you have a good find? Great cake design, great taste, and at a great value/price?
