I am going to use one for the simple fact that I am tired of doing all the planning on my own.  Plus if prices go down she will rebook and get us the best price.  I would do some shopping around for yourself and then she what your travel agent can do for you as well.

We ALWAYS use a travel agent.  We’ve used her for AT LEAST 10  years now.  She is AMAZING and gets us great deals.  Her prices are always as good as Expedia or other travel sites.  Most of the times, however, the flight schedules are better and we get better hotel choices.

we used a highly recommended travel agent. there was no fee and we got to see a lot of in-person pics of the diff resorts we were considering… as if we’d visited ourselves. they have lot of insight into what to do and what not to do and also offer better insurance packages that allow you to cancel up to and throughout the trip if any reason emergencies would arise. 🙂

We used a travel agent for the first time for booking our honeymoon. We got a better deal using one than booking through Travelocity or Expedia, and like a PP said, we got to see personal pictures of the rooms and hotel so we got a better idea of what the hotel was really like. He also recommended activities, but didn’t push any on us. We used him to book our Luau and got an amazing front and center table! Perfect view of the dancers.

If we were planning another big trip somewhere, we’d use a travel agent again for sure!

Edit: We found a travel agent that specialized in honeymoons and destination weddings. I would recommended finding one that does that!
