Fun little post giving props to your favorite, dream dress designer! I knew mine the moment I spotted my first dress by YOLAN CRIS. He seems to have snuck inside my head and replicated all things I dreamt. <3

@bohosioux: I'd love the long-sleeved lace Monique Lhuillier or nearly any Christos gown. *sigh*
100% this dress.....I made a couple of enquries (wishful thinking!) and found out it retails at £8,000 which is *slightly* over my budget!!

I've watched too much of say yes to the dress but I love the Pnina Tornai dresses :)
@LadyKM: That's EXACTLY my dream dress! I just couldn't remember the name of it.
Honestly before planning a wedding, Alfred Angelo was my dream designer. I love love love the Disney dresses. I actually have one as my wedding dress. :)
However, now I looooove looking at dress porn.
amsale blue label:

Eve of Milady:

Maggie Sottero is my dream designer (even if she is more popular than I originally thought lol) And I went ahead and got a Maggie gown for my wedding. Can't wait until it comes in for my first fitting!
Ah Yolan Cris. There are only about 6 gowns available in the US for purchase =(
I do love the gowns Manuel Mota/Pronovias produces which is the designer of my dress. But I also really dig Le Sposa di Gio (anohter with limited US availability) and Matthew Christopher.
@LadyKM: Also my dream dress!! Monique L'Huillier is my fav designer!
@somethingaquamarine: YES. Amen, sister. Good taste. I would gladly take any Monique gown
Lynn Ashworth or Stephanie Allin, although I *could* afford one I'd never forgive myself for spending £3-5k or more on a one wear dress, plus not a single one is completely perfect and for £3-5k it'd need to be perfect!
Ines Di Santo is my dream designer. I also love Lazaro (which i'm getting) Ines is just way out of my price range the dress I love are close to 9k and that is just way too much for a dress but man they are so pretty and feel so light on it's crazy. Good thing i could afford Lazaro cause i would cry if i couldn't get my dress I would probably postpone the wedding so i could afford that's how much I love my dress LOL
Probably Monique Lhuillier. I love how relaxed and simple her lace dresses are.
I third Claire Pettibone (which I am so lucky to be wearing) and Jenny Packham. But also Elizabeth filmore.
@LadyKM: That dress is so simple, you could have that made for you, judging from the front, anyway. I don't know what is going on in the back. And--I can't speak tot he quality of materials that is used in the pictured dress, don't know how easy that is for a local seamstress to find.
I know what I like and I don't like a lot of stuff on my clothes. and stuff is what cost money. So all my favorite favorite designers are ones I can actually afford, like AA, Mon Cheri, Walters and Wtoo. My most expensive dream dress is Jim Helm or Demetrios.
This dress calls out to my heritage. but I would need donations to help pay for it
This dress speaks to my soul...and not to my wallet cannot ever afford it
Atelier Aimée Gemma
It depends on the specific style of dresses of course, but I've seen absolutely stunning gowns that I've loved from Amsale, Anne Barge, Reem Acra, Oscar de la Renta, Pnina Tornai (NOT the see-through, lingerie-looking ones, however), Monique Lhullier, Ines de Santo, Enoani, Lazaro, and a few other designers.
Elie Saab, without a doubt!
I cannot afford it, but I love pretty much everything he makes. In ivory, this would be the perfect deco-glam wedding gown:

Swoon
My dream designer that would look good on me is Eve of Milady. I love their dresses, so beautiful. But no way I could afford one. Love Pina Tourni but it would never look good on me. Couldn't afford that one either.
My actual wedding is going to be more like a planned elopment. At least, that's what we're thinking now.
Atelier Aimee, or Papilio. Basically anything dreamy and over-the-top romantic.

@EffieTrinket: you have some amazing taste!!!
I never even looked into the dresses cause I knew I could never afford them.
How ever there is a 1950's alfred angelo dress I searched for but of course never found then of course after my wedding he came out with the cinderella dimond- it would have been great! I am almost tempted to go try it on and see- I bet its still just barley out of my price range if not quite out of my price range.
Mine is definitely Marchesa, followed closely by Jenny Packham and Claire Pettibone
Jim Hjelm. Love love love the collection but so can't afford the price. And maggie sottero is a close second (and so muchmore affordable).
@alishaloo: Thanks! I ended up with a Justin Alexander that I LOVE, but the great thing about having really expensive taste is that it helps fend off dress regret--every time I see a dress I like better than mine, I find out it cost half what my car did, and then it's like "Oh! Dress regret cured!"
@sarahbabs: That's gorgeous! I would love to get that for my bridesmaids.
You know, if that whole Powerball thing ever comes through. :-\
