I knew early on in the dress picking process that I would be buying a preowned gown. I fell in love with a dress that was easily a quarter of my budget (it was actually the first thing I pinned on pinterest way back before I even had a ring), so I had found a few preowned ones online before I even tried it on. It was more amazing in person and I have been trying to purchase this gown for a few weeks now.
The first person accepted my offer, then said that they got a higher offer and I could only have the dress if I went higher than the asking price (that dress is still available, go figure). Not to be deterred, I contacted another seller within 10 minutes. Things seem to be going well, but it just feels like it is taking forever. First we had to agree on terms, then I had to wait for her to setup a payment account, and now I just have to wait for her to go to the UPS store so I can pay her.
Anyone else gone through this process before? I keep having moments of panic thinking “what if this one falls through” and “what if I’m being scammed.”
