Your post made me laugh 😀 lovechild of a heifer and shamoo LOL.

Ahh I don’t have any good advice. I think it’ll be fine. Pick an outfit you feel comfortable in and that hides any of your (perceived) flaws.

@futuremrs1986:  “….feel like the lovechild of a heifer and shamoo.” PREACH.

You’ll look great! And if you’re feeling particularly stressed/offspring of sasquatch-esque, you can post potential outfits to the Bee to get advice AND compliments

I feel the same way! Our engagement shoot is Saturday morning. I live in PA… IT’S GOING TO BE FREEZING. What do I wear? I’ve been looking online for a cute sweater but I don’t like anything and I can’t go shopping in a physical store until Friday! I would also love to be able to get my hair and makeup done, but getting an appointment at 8 in the morning is probably not going to happen, haha. AND I am having a total fat week. I look in the mirror and want to curl in a ball and die. I HATE being in front of the camera. I am so much more comfortable behind it. UGH. I’m really feeling the sweats, cheesepoofs, beer and couch shoot you suggested.

Ah my photos are on sunday and i am fully prepared. Got my hair dyed in advance to wash it out to the perfect color (red can be really bright till after a few washes), getting my nails done the day before. Picked out my outfits weeks ago. Only thing that could really go wrong is rain but i’m still FREAKING OUT! Been having full on panic attacks all week. they better turn out awesome damn it! LOL

@cateyes:  Hahaha yes I guess you’re right. I have a black coat that I could wear, but I feel like black for an engagement shoot is so dark!!! I was thinking cream cardigan (which I don’t currently own) and a blue shirt of some kind underneath because I look best in blue. I’m fashion challenged so I need all the help I can get, lol.

@SarahTee:  I live in PA too and am ALSO doing my engagement pics on Saturday! Small world! 🙂

I was quite displeased to see how cold it is going to be. I don’t want to cover my pretty cap-sleeved dress with a sweater! Guess I’ll be braving the cold (at least for our “dressy outfit” pictures).

(P.S. I love your avatar. Big Penn Stater here. Smile)

@futuremrs1986:  Your post seriously made me laugh out loud.  I can relate — I’ve been stressing over outfits for two weeks now, and I keep being tempted to go out and buy another outfit, even though I have an entire closet full of perfectly good clothes that I hate.

@MsLesPaul:  That is a small world! I’ll also be braving the cold in whatever I’m wearing. I don’t want to wear a jacket! and an obligatory WE ARE!

@futuremrs1986:  Dude. I had the same thoughts going through my mind the week of the pics. I hadn’t given it a 2nd thought until then. I went into panic mode and went shopping and thought I should just give up because I’d look like a freak.

In the end, it turned out fine 🙂

since I AM a fluffy chick and still survived epics I can say this: BREATHE chick. I was at a loss – I wanted dressy so I found a dress that I liked that was flowy without being bulky and got him a shirt and tie to go with .. then for my casual it was recommended to me to try and tie in the wedding colors — which worked out perfectly (!) I did a gold sequin tank under a teal cardi and a pair of dark jeans and boots.. I swear to you I was sweatin buckshots of stress but it WORKS. Promise. He wore a black reebock polo (southwest la it isn’t totally cool here it was near 85 when we did our shoot so lots of sweat!) so let him be him and you be you but a lil more polished and if you can cull your wedding colors out of your wardrobe choices (new or already there) you’ll feel MORE connected to your colors/theme — ESPECIALLY if you plan on displaying at your reception. I did do a hair appt and fake eyelashes and all of that because, if I am honest, the sequinned top and over the top makeup is SO me.

Doing mine on the 30th, and definitely know where you are coming from! I am planning on studying some makeup tutorials on YouTube before the day of just to ensure that my makeup looks as good as possible. Would this be possible for you? I’ve seen some bees watch these tutorials and their wedding day makeup ends up looking like professional.

@SarahTee:  it is OBVIOUSLY a sign that you need to get a cute blue coat/jacket. something like this or this or this or this or this or this or this lighter blue one. (the second to last two are the cutest, i think.) (and now i’m going to stop dumb beer fueled online shopping for strangers.)
