    At least IMO....

    Since the centerpieces passed muster with my little sis, I decided to put the table together and take some pics to send to her (I am in NC, she is in VA). The only "real" stuff on the table are the glass vases and glasses...oh and the candles. The runners are vinyl. The plates are plastic. The flowers are fake. The tablecloth is linen look paper as are the napkins.

    Her budget for this entire wedding is 10K so we are trying to cut corners but still have things photograph well. The only thing missing from the tables are table numbers...which i haven't designed yet.

    So bees...whadaya think??

    I think that looks great, the yellow really pops against the black and white.

    Thanks guys...my sister put her trust in me with this one so I had to come through for her in a big way.

    She and her FI loved it so now we are going to go ahead and order enough for the entire reception.

    @bean...thanks

    @blueshoes....all flowers courtesy of the Dollar Tree =)

    @maisymay....they are saving up for their downpayment...they are house hunting now and want to close before the wedding so the budget doesn't have any wiggle room.

    @Azin....thanks...the tablecloths, plates, and napkins came from Party At Lewis online. We only ordered the one b/c we wanted to see how it would look. They are actually pretty heavy duty.

    Love the "pomander hell" comment!  Wedding bee is the only place that you would see that and understand what it means. :)

    Awesome! I've been trying to decide whether to use china or plastic! This is very encouraging! Great to know that plastic can look as good as or better than china!

    Thanks guys....

    @GreenBee...I will be glad when I stop finding stringy glue everywhere...LOL. No matter how careful I am, I still manage to have it stuck to my hands, arms, couch....

    @Johnitta.....we got a few to use as a sample before I had my sister purchase a huge amount. They are really sturdy and look realistic...even close up. I was very pleased with the quality of everything.

    You did a great job keeping it chic, yet within budget. I am always a fan of damask - there are so many possibilities.
