When we officially booked our venue, it came with tables for our use, and I was thrilled at the prospect of not having to worry about table rentals. But ... either I'm not getting the table-to-tablecloth size thing right, or we have some odd tables. My tables are rectangular 72" by 30". So if I want the tablecloths to hit the floor, what size tablecloths do I need?

I learned that you calculate table length as follows:

table size (ex: 72" round)

table linen length (ex: I want knee length linens so I would rent 108" linens because  108" - 72" = 36", so there will be an 18" "drop" on all sides; if you want a 3/4 length your tablecloth would be 120", or greater for floor length)
