If you are using your Mac, you should use the program that is part of the iPhoto program, which is part of the iLife suite. Super super easy.
I still can't get it to add multiple pics at a time and set it to the music I want . . .
any other advice?
How long do you want the slideshow to be? I made an animation in PowerPoint to the entirety of Michael Buble's everything once. I had pictures appearing, disappearing, multiple pics in one frame, changing backgrounds, movements timed to the music, etc etc. It was pretty cool but it took me three weeks to make that 3.5 minute slideshow. I have never tried making one longer than that, but I imagine it could be done if you're patient enough!
@Amaryllis:haha; I tried that and got fed up after about 20 minutes! We want it to be about 7 minutes with 3 different songs. I think if I spent 3 weeks working on it I would need a new computer because I'd probably put my fist through it! But now I want to see yours!
FI is doing ours, its beautiful so far he has music playing the background. He works at Lockheed Martin and he is fimilar with computers.
I've made several of these for friends. I use iMovie, and it's fairly straightforward. Just insert the pics that you have from iPhoto and add music from iTunes!
I am using a digital picture frame, that will be sitting on the card/gift table or by the guest book. It will just run contineous though out the night.
We're making our own slideshow but it will be without music. However, I recommend iMovie. Good luck! :)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
FI and I are trying to put together a slideshow for our rehearsal dinner and can't seem to find a good program to use (preferrably with our Mac, but willing to use the PC if there are better options there). We want something that we can set to music, and pull in multiple pictures into the same frame. We tried Fotomagical (or something like that) for the Mac but could only have one pic in each frame, and we want to group similar pics together.
Any advice?
