...when you can just write a new controversial thread every day? I think every day I'll come up with a controversial topic with extremely polarized perspectives, then I'll post it on the boards tomorrow with something really inoccuous like "What do you think about this?" Then I'll watch it dissolve into two camps of brides slinging mud at each other, and everyone will flag each other until the queue is full. Then there will be three or four posts about how ridiculous the other side is, and it will culminate in two or three threads asking what happened to the "nice" WB and where all the crazy newbees came from. Then everyone will complain about over-moderation or not enough moderation, then we'll all start posting LOLcatz.
Ladies...have we really become this predictable? Do we really feel the need to argue on every. single. thread? Do we have to be over-sensitive about everything? Or too "honest" about everything? Do we have to hash and re-hash every new topic because we just HAVE to prove that the "other side" is "wrong??" Can we have one day, ONE DAY, where we can simply post for advice or vents or dilemmas without feeling like we are being attacked, or criticized, or not heard, or WHATEVER?
I challenge you to ONE DAY without Bride Wars on WB. ONE DAY. What do you say? Can we declare a CEASE FIRE on November 18th??
Ooooh ambitious. Let's see if we can be drama-llama-free for just one day, I totally agree!!! Although I do love the LOLz ;)
Tell you what: for everyone who is good and stays away from teh dramas for the next four days, Starbucks has agreed to give you BOGO holiday drinks.

You just know somebody is going to "sign" this pledge and then go write a post tomorrow about their grotsky biatch bridesmaid who had an abortion and how abortions are soooooooo terrible, no offense, really, but also what does everyone think of a) grostky biatch bridesmaids and b) abortions.

Any suggestions for trying the holiday drinks at Starbucks? I go almost every day but I try the same drink every single day, so I don't know what to try.

I'm not a huge fan of most of the holiday drinks because they're a little too sweet for my taste but the peppermint mocha is YUM.
@Lindsay12.31.2010: DH loves the gingerbread latte. I'm hooked on the caramel apple spice. I think tomorrow I'll branch out and get the peppermint mocha though ;)

Are we seriously being optimistic that there will no-drama for a whole day on a wedding website full of crazy ladies?? Call me a cynic but someone is going to snap at some point! :)
Hmm, I work right next to SBucks so I will definitely go! My little sister works at one part time, and she recommends the peppermint mocha too.

I actually don't drink coffee but most of the SB drinks can be made with just milk and no espresso.

OMG, be glad. Literally 95% of this community was butthurt over their ring in some way today.

It's not about rings. It's about being able to read something without reading into it. Before rings it was spanking. Before spanking it was strippers. Before strippers it was bachelor parties. Before bachelor parties it was kids at weddings. Before kids at weddings it was moissanite vs. diamonds. Before that waiting vs. already engaged. And on and on and on. It's actually VERY predictable. And it shouldn't be!
Not that those are policies, just my own opinion of what goes wrong...on a daily basis.
I really like the silly and fun threads more than the drama threads. Hopefully this works tomorrow!
I will totally sign! I got involved in ZERO of the ring drama today.... except to post pictures of zombies in the thread making fun of the drama. lol. I was going to comment and then said to myself.... is it worth it? Nope.
