I was one of the lucky few who never got wisdom teeth. I’ve heard its really painful, so glad that you aren’t in that much pain!!

I had one taken out last year. I only had one (I’m a highly evolved individual) 😉
Anyway. I was surprised at how easy it was and how it didn’t hurt at all. The whole process took less than 5 minutes (keep in mind that it was only one tooth.) I even went out to the bars that night.
I think the trick is to not get anestisia. That is what makes you sick.

I had all 4 out, 2 that were impacted, under anesthesia about 3 weeks ago. I was nervous because I’ve never had any kind of surgery, but it was a breeze! Not much pain at all, just a little discomfort, mostly at the end of the day, but I stayed regular on my pain meds for the first 48 hours, I have NO pain tolerance and wasn’t taking any chances! I didn’t swell too badly either, but I could barely open my mouth for a few days, so stick with foods that don’t require much chewing but that also won’t get stuck in your empty sockets since you can barely brush your teeth :/ Really the only thing for me was that I was sooo tired for about 5 days, I guess my body’s way of recovering…Good luck!

Let me tell you, I was absolutely terrified to get my teeth out but they doped me up with Valium and I was good to go! The stressing and worrying about it was honestly worse than the actual surgery! I wish I would have got it done ages ago, I kept making appointments for it and then bailing! For supper we had chicken and rice. my FI just cut up my chicken like he did for our two children and I swallowed everything without chewing. My jaw just feels sore like I`ve been chewing gum for too long.

I think I may need to take mine out! I can feel one fully pointing out on one side and it HURTS! I just dont have the extra 150 dollars to go for just a consultation!

@tranquility: OMG I felt like a teething toddler everytime one of mine broke the gums!! As long as the tooth was popping thru, I couldn`t eat on that side or talk or anything! It was torture. I feel SO much better now that they are gone. They just kept getting worse and worse and worse!

My doctor said my mouth was so big I didn’t need to have mine out… but my mom insisted… I didn’t mind the week off from school when I was in highschool, though!

Ugh…I need to get mine out. One is growing sideways and it hurts like hell. I just can’t have them taken out now since I’m pregnant.
