Usually the officiant/priest etc runs the rehearsal. Is there any way your DOC could come and lend a hand?
If your DOC can't, you can have a trusted family member do it.
In cases like this, it usually falls on the bride to run the rehearsal. You may want to meet with your friend officiant before hand to go over the details, and have them run it for you. The most important thing to really practice is the lining up and entrance order of everyone.. if you'd like, I have a sheet I often give to my couples when I can't attend the rehearsal with some hints and tips on running your own.. PM your email address and I'll send it to you.

Our venue only allows rehearsals mid-week, but because everyone is OOT, we won't be able to hold the rehearsal there. Instead, we'll reserve a room in the hotel where everyone's staying. My question is, who runs the rehearsal? We will not have a wedding planner. The venue provides a day-of coordinator, but she will not be there for the rehearsal. Our officiant is a friend who doesn't know much about weddings (we are writing the ceremony and will practice with him). I feel like the only people who know all the details are me, FI, and a couple of bridesmaids, but we should be participating in rehearsal rather than running it, right?
