We were originally planning on a late 2011 wedding when we got engaged in April 2009. FIs very healthy grandma informed us that she may be dead by then, and we can use FIs inheritance to help. Lol. We ended up moving our date out of impatience, but I'll always remember that.
Lol @Lindsay: That sounds so much like my grandma.. We had 6 months from engagement to wedding and she said to us "I'm so glad you're doing it soon now I know I'll be alive and probably get to be a great grandma too!"
Ok, I have a good one:
When we decided to get engaged, my FI and I took my parents out to dinner to properly ask for my hand in marriage and all that. We met them at a steakhouse and they sat down and we kind of looked at each other before FI launched into this long speech about why he'd invited them for dinner and how he wanted to ask for their permission and blessing to marry me.
My parents stare at him for a minute (it felt like twenty minutes actually) before my mom says "well, yeah, that's fine, I mean we were expecting that. But...you're not pregnant?" Apparently they thought we were taking them out to dinner to tell them I was having a baby, not that we were getting married! :D
we got asked if i was pregnant too lol i was like no i am just fat but thanks! lol
then people said Whatever you need help with let me know but when we let them know they dont remember telling us lol
@Miss Burgundy & Medina - I know, right! Seriously, what's with the prgnancy questions? hahaha lol

I thought it would be fun to share our awful/funny/horrible one liners from wedding planning/wedding days.
When I got engaged and called my sister to tell her, she immediatly started crying and repeating over and over "But you're our little girl! You're our little girl!" This is funny because she's only 2 years older than me.
After she stopped crying, she finally asked me if I was pregnant. Umm yeah.
