My father passed away alomst three years ago, and I’m getting married in June.
I don’t know who should walk me down the aisle, or if anyone should.
My mother never remarried, and he was my only father figure.

Do you have a brother, uncle, or grandfather you are close to? Or what about your mom?
Post # 4
I would have your mom walk you down the aisle.

I think your mom is a great suggestion. Does she have thoughts on this?
Alternatively, I think I had a friend whose mom walked her in, and then handed her off to her brother half way and he took her to the altar.. (it’s been a while, so I’m thinking back now)

I’ll be walking down the aisle by myself, though for me it’s just that I’m not close to my dad.

@macybreanna: whomever you want.

I’m not close to my mom, I don’t have any brothers, and both of my grandfathers are dead.
Besides my Husband to be, the only man I’m close to is my best friend.
Would that be approprite?

@macybreanna: did you think of maybe walking by yourself and having your FI meet you half way and finish the walk together? a few bees are doing that.

Does your Fiance have a brother? if he does then he could walk you down the isle..

I think your best friend could walk you down. As long as that person is important and special to you, it doesn’t matter who it is:)

I think your best friend is a great idea if he really means that much to you and is willing to do it! If not I like the idea of your FH meeting you half way. Good luck sweety!
