Not once, and I couldn’t be with someone who smokes.

My FI and I both smoke occasionally (maybe a two cigarettes each a month). It’s always been a social thing for me. He used to smoke a pack every couple of weeks, but quit (mostly) about two years ago.

I don’t. I’ve tried it a handfull of times, but I’ve never been a smoker. FI smokes a little, never more than one in a day, but he’s working on quitting entirely. I told him that I want him done with smoking by the time we’re married.

The actual smoking doesn’t really bother me, the guy I dated before FI smoked like a chimney, but I just want to eliminate the health risks.

Severe reaction to it – my lungs shut down and I’m thrown into asthma hell. Also blown-out candles, wood stoves, fireplaces = nothing!

I’ve smoked off and on, never heavily. FI doesn’t smoke at all and doesn’t like it. I quit shortly after we moved in together.

You’re poll doesn’t have any options for non-smokers or anyone who has quit. My DH is a non-smoker and I quit 3 years ago.

I quit smoking 8 years ago. I was moving back to my home city after being away at school and truthfully, I didn’t want my parents knowing.. So the easiest thing to do was quit entirely. My husband (then-boyfriend) and I quit cold turkey and haven’t looked back since.

He smokes cigars but very sparingly as he only likes Davidoffs, which are very pricey. I love the smell of cigars and will take a puff or two when he has one.

I used to smoke regularly in college. I bought a pack every few days for about 5 years. It didn’t help that most of my friends at the time were smokers. I smoke every once in a blue moon when I drink. Thankfully, none of my friends, family, or SO smokes. It would’ve been harder to quit if I was constantly surrounded by smokers.

My fi and I are both smokers. Over the years we have each quit and started again several times. I have been able to quit other addictive substances for more than a decade relatively easily but smoking is much more difficult to give up permanently. Hopefully anyone who is getting ready to comment on how gross and disgusting smoking is will refrain from that little lecture. I’m pretty sure every smoker knows it is expensive, smelly, unhealthy, gross, stinky, blah blah blah. That doesn’t make it any easier to quit.

DH and I are both smokers.  I quit for 4 years once, went thru some horrible stuff, and started back again.  I’ve quit for a few weeks here and there with the help of an e-cig or Chantix, but it didn’t last.  We don’t smoke in our house, so quitting in the winter is easier for me to try to do.  Been TTC so I’ve been able to gradually cut back, but kicking it for good is really hard to do.

DH and I are social smokers, generally only smoking when at a party and having a few drinks (not all parities, or each time we drink, however). I’d say that happens twice or 3 times a year.

I’m a non-smoker. DH smokes but he’s working on quitting.
