In my family, it is tradition to have the FOB unveil the bride and kiss her on the cheek at the altar right after he answers "Who gives this woman?", and then she turns to the groom.

However, I have heard that others have the groom unveil the bride after the vows.

I would say that unless other participants have strong feelings about this one way or another, you can do it exactly as you please.

Our officiant suggested that my mom unveil me, as a way of including her in the ceremony.  I like this, because I do think the mom gets shafted in the traditional set-up.

I had the same question when I was gettting married.  In the end, my husband ended up unveiling me and it was perfect.  Go with your own wishes, it’ll be fine either way!
