We got sparklers back in July to use for our grand exit. However, we have realized it doesn’t really work for our wedding. We are thinking about doing them during our first dance since it is outside.
Any tips on using sparklers and getting them to everyone or easily getting them lit quickly?

We did them. We bought a couple of those big lighters (I think they’re for fireplaces) and gave them to the groomsmen. Worked well.

We just had galvanized buckets with sand in them and the sparklers in there. Maybe make sure there are a good amount of lighters? It actually took a while to get all the sparklers lit!

We did and loved it!
*Pick someone to hand out the sparklers who is sober and make sure that person doesn’t hand them out to people who are very drunk. We had a friend who had sparklers at his wedding and someone grabbed a sparkler, lit it, and stuck it back in the bucket with the unlit sparklers. It almost burned the bride’s dress and the best man ended up in the ER with burns on his hands.
*Get the long sparklers. They burn for longer.
* Have a bucket of sand nearby for people to put the sparklers in.
*Make sure the sparklers aren’t too close to your dress.
*Don’t give sparklers to young children or very drunk people.

We didn’t have them but wish we had! It’s a great idea.

@PitBulLover: Did you just use the sparklers at the grand exit? Would you be able to post pictures? I love seeing sparkler photos!
