I have a green sapphire ring and I love it . Everyone says it "so unique". I love colored rings , but I've never been a diamond girl myself.  Just be careful , emeralds are a "softer" stone . But GORGEOUS non the less!

Nahh Cre I just have to say... Because of your love for the Tiff (aqua) Legacy, you have single-handedly changed my opinion of both colored stones AND halo settings!!! LOL so I know everyone is into halos these days, but for me, I just look at it and feel like it does not give the center stone a chance to stand out -- the whole point of a solitaire, IMO. And I am super traditional, I always thought it was cool for other people to have unique stones, but I always thought I would just DIE (in a bad way) if I was given a colored stone rather than a diamond (I do really love diamonds). BUT ONCE I SAW THE TIFF, girl!!! OMG!! I saw a pic of it on someone's hand on pricescope (also something I love thanks to you!), I was like, okay I would die in the BEST way if I got that ring!! I have fallen in love. So, sorry dear, but I vote aquamarine for you (Tiff or a replica) aaaalll thee waaaay! :-D

the purple actually reminds me of the kids, it's his daughter's favorite color (purple) with my son's birthstone (diamonds) and it has three stones, like our three little ones... i want this.... i actually really really like this... hmmm especially with the bands like the pricescope picture.

An inexpensive aquamarine ring on etsy, as a fingerwarmer, wanna know why?? "Aquamarines are said to be effective as a treatment for anxiety..." http://www.bernardine.com/gemstones/aquamarine.htm Cure your ring anxiety with a ring!! HAHA :)

This is like the Team Edward/Jacob debate! Haha!

GREEN all the way. I made a post like this on my blog recently. Emeralds. Srsly. They're mind blowing in person.

Who wants blue when you can have GREEN!! : wedding Houseoftaylor Emerald1

Also...why has no one mentioned Cathy Waterman's rings before?! I mean, really! Look at those settings!

Who wants blue when you can have GREEN!! : wedding Ringringring

I nearly passed out when I saw that. So romantic and gorgeous. Had to share with you and maybe add to your confusion! :P

ETA: Emeralds are historically said to have healing powers; they're a beryl stone like aquamarines, except with extra color awesomeness. :D

@littlemissmango: HILARIOUS!! a ring to cure my anxiety of not getting a ring... LMAO!!

@waitingbee: i agree!! who knows what i'll get, but if he gets me a boring diamond, i'll return it.... or get an amazingly awesome diamond and gemstone wedding band (probably the latter)

@minutiae: pretty!!! i read all the special things about emeralds... i wonder what healing powers aquas have other than to feel like a bubbly fun and exuberant girl...  lmao it prevents drunkeness (after a quick lookup!!) LMAO bubbly fun exuberant, not drunk.. man

Holy ring- a- ding- ding batman!  That's some bling-age on that site!

I must admit.  The purple amethyst in the wedding set was gorgeous!  I also love the padparascha (sp?) sapphire which is a peachy color with the side diamonds and the plat band.  I could also see you wearing that!  But let's not confuse your wonderful man anymore than we've already confused him!!! lol!

I just want to see from a mile away your ring and have to put on my sunglasses just so I can come in for a closer look!

I still think to this very day, my tanzanite ring has the most unique color.  It changes with what you wear.  I also heart my aqua and my green amethyst too.

One of my fave rings of all time was Princess Diana's engagement ring.   Blue sapphire and diamond and plat.

I am really really loving the purple and when i explained the significance behind it he really liked it (his daughter's favorite color, my son's birthstone and three purple stones for our three little ones)... and i picked this before i knew they were coming home!!! I showed him the picture of the set with the french square amethyst and bezel set diamonds and he really looked at it like intensely I WAS SHOCKED... and happy :D... especially since he's picked his favorites..

BTW wal-mart had a rice cooker that was like 5 bucks so i bought it and i showed M... guess i'll get something else for christmas... i did want a mixer lol.

i love both the purple and the green!  i like that the purple has significance to your family though, that's sweet.

i'm still hoping for an ice blue sapphire though.  i'm usually so indecisive but when we went to look at rings, i loved it so much and didn't even want to look at others

crebre - i love love love that you've tied your ring to your life situation (the stones represent your kids, etc.) - it's sooo sweet!

minut - i immediately went on that website, and gahhhh! those rings are GOR-GEOUS! i kinda like the way aquamarines look w/diamond accents but im also in love with the faintest of yellow diamonds!

@jb: i'm now pining for the purple even though i loved the blue.. i told m that it would be so cool when we have grandkids to be able to pass the ring down to them and he just started grinning.... i told him that my son already has heirlooms from my mom and his dad (my first e-ring was a sapphire and i am giving it to my son's fiance as her something blue) and my mom is passing on her gorgeous pear shaped diamond...

@jaxx: yeah the purple is definitely my fave!!

I have a weakness for the emerald ring.  It's something vintage about it.  I agree... why have blue when you can go GREEN.  :-)

I'm still hooked on the pink sapphire though.  But these are beautiful!

@91101: i wanted a pink sapphire long ago and loved them, for some reason i love blue and the purple more than everything else, the green was just a great deal more, but he could get one from lord of the gem rings who receives fairly decent reviews on pricescope (his settings are a bit thin i think they say, but for the price you can get a jeweler to fill it in and polish it... ) honestly i don't think i'd care? my right hand ring is a bit hollower than most rings and i actually love it.. but to each his/her own...
