It's going good! I got off work already (that's why I love opening). lol. Yeah. It used to be a picture of just me, but now it's my fave e-pic.

    What are you doing today?

I'm doing okay. I went to Homegoods this morning, and then I went to Sam's. That's the LAST time I ever go to Sam's on a Saturday! It was CHAOS!!! I'm having lunch with my boy today, so that's exciting!

What are you having for dinner tonight? I'm trying to decide if I feel like cooking or not.

Sam's? I'm guessing thats a grocery store? haha. I try not to do grocery shopping or anything on saturday, either. Here in Oregon you only need to read the first 2 lines to drive during the night, and the first one to drive during the day. So it's more dangerous to be in a parking lot with the elderly than the freeway. lol.

I don't know. FI will actually be home. He's been working late, but tonight he'll be off before I have to go to bed. Maybe bisuits and sausage gravy? I thought about meatloaf, but I rememberd he hates it. haha. What do you have in mind?

Well, mine is a pescatarian so that limits things quite a bit. It's quite annoying, actually, but it's not like he had a choice. His doctor told him to quit eating meat. Mealoaf sounds AMAZING, actually. Probably salmon burgers, cause it's easy and he loves it. Sam's is a warehouse club, I'll have to go to the regualr grocery store this afternoon. I'm trying to buy everything I need for the week in one day so I can quit having to go every. single. day.

How long have you been a barista?

You're lucky! We only get to go grocery shopping every other month if we're lucky. haha. We load up on as much as we can get in the freezer.

I've been with Starbucks for 14 months. = ) It's pretty fun when you don't get the meanie heads. haha. You work at a book store, right?

I do! I'm actually trained in the cafe too, so I can make all those drinks! Some of them I have to look at recipe cards for, mostly the seasonal drinks, but I'm the go to girl for coverage! I'm constantly amazed at how people are just so mean to some of the girls over there though!!! Have people been meaner lately? Our customers actually seem to have chilled out a little.

It varies day to day. We have a LOT of regulars in the AM so I normally don't have a problem. I did get yelled at the other day because I wanted to write a drink the right way, but he wanted it called something else. But my manager says that I don't get paid to be treated like trash and to ask him to leave next time. lol. People and their coffee!

I wanted to work at Barnes and Noble or Borders so bad when I was job hunting, but no one had anything open. Do you like it?

I do like it! Mostly. I have my own department so I get left alone alot, sometimes annoying so. Cafe managers get paid about $36k (at least that's what ours makes) so its not a bad job if you can get it. Plus you get discounts on merchandise in the store if it's a Barnes and Noble cafe and not just an attached Starbucks. It's not what I want to do forever, though, so I really need to go back to school or find a new job.

Is this something you're thinking about doing long term?

Oh, I know. The sallaried Managers make good money. Even if it's an "attached" Starbucks it doesn't count to us. We wouldn't get the same benefits (corporate Vs. Franchise thing) so I prefer the "real" ones. lol.

If I can get a promotion I'd love to do it long term. It's a really nice job. And who can complain about an automatice raise every 6 months? lol. The benefits are great, too.

What are you thinking of going to school for?

Y'all get raises every 6 months? Now I'm jealous. We do annual reviews. I'm eventually going to school for hospital administration, I think. Boy is going to be a professor, so we have to make up for that lack of income somehow, lol!

    Do you have any pets?

Yeah. We have to complete a review every 6 months. There's a 1-4 scale. As long as you get at least a 2 you get a raise. It's hard to get a one. lol. You'd be fired before that. They're decent too. I've gotten a 2 (it's also hard to get above that!) and it was like 18 cents or something. And we get a free pound of coffee or box of tea every week. They also only take 30 bucks out of my check for medical and dental.

What is your boy gonna Teach?

Oh, we do! I love them! I have 2 kittes: Annabelle and Francis. And a little Dog, Pennie. They're the reason we are getting a 2-br when we move. lol. They like our kids. = D Do you hav any fur babies?

He wants to teach Philosophy and religion. He's too smart for me, but at least I make him laugh! Are y'all more alike or more different?

Most of our friends don't know how the heck we fit together! lol. We hardly have anything in common. He;s really into his video games and I would much rather be out doing something. He hates people. Not in a bad way, he just doesn't like crowds. I, however, love it. The list can go on and on. We drive each other crazy half the time! lol. = )

Wow...philosophy and religion!!! That's pretty awesome!

It's awesome until he realizes that sometimes I have no idea what he's talking about... then he gets the pad of paper out and draws me a flow chart. Sometimes at 11:30 at night, while I'm falling asleep. Right now he's a minister at a SUPER small church, so that gets interesting at times.

Have you seen any good movies lately?

My FI does the same thing with WoW. He'll go off for about 10 minuets, realize I don't know what he's saying and explain for forever! lol.

I went and saw New Moon, but I believe that you were on the not a fan of the series list? lol. I can't wait to go and see the Princess and the Frog, though. It's pretty rare that I get to go see a movie. = ( How about you?

Ha you're right, I definintely am not a fan of the Twilight series at ALL. I won't hold it against you that you are if you don't hold it against me that I'm not Tongue out

In theaters... we went to see the Informant. It was TERRIBLE. Before that it was... Star Trek? Or maybe the Proposal? I don't love seeing movies in theaters cause I FREEZE. I'd rather watch them at home! We watched Dirty Harry two nights ago- he got them for his birthday and I hadn't seen them. We have TOTALLY opposite tastes in movies, me and him.

I won't hold it against you. lol. It's very hit or miss. Upon reading it a second time I get why some people don't like it. = ) I'm not a "fan girl" who dresses up with fangs and screams whenever edward/jacob comes on screen, though. lol. That's just lame. haha.

My FI and I do, too. I made the mistake of seeing Wolverine with him and my best friend. I loved the movie, but got totally annoyed that they were analyzing it and how it dodn't flow with the comic. lol. It was pretty intense!

    @Honeybun-yay! It's gonna be a party!

I work for corporate attorneys and I HATE it.

I want to love something, or shoot, even LIKE something I do while I finish college. And since I spend whatever spare time I have hanging out in coffee shops, I guess I might as well get paid to do so!!!

@Layla - that's interesting my sister has been having an itch to become a paralegal...I think she would hate it!  You should def. do something you enjoy especially if you're a student too.  What about a paid internship in something you're going to school for?

    @KArthur - Happy birthday!!

And you know, that's not a bad idea!!! I hadn't really considered that. My main concern with my job (other than the pay, which we need) is the insurance. I can't be without it, due to past issues. But I keep forgetting that I'm married now and can be on HIS!!! Which would definitely give me the opportunity to do an internship!! Thank you for the idea!

Okay.. now how do I find one of those? I'm not going into a great field for my area - politics. I need to live in DC for the great internships.
