Considering that it seems you’re going to Italy for your wedding, I’d say a nice bag to tote along with you is a perfect splurge! Happy wedding trip to you! LOL

If you have it in the budget go for it. I’m the same way I feel guilty for buying things for myself but sometimes you gotta put yourself first 🙂

@gingerkitten:  Do it! Assuming you can afford it, of course.

Here’s why:

-You’re not hiding it from your FI, he said go ahead.

-you would use it all the time

If you actually DO USE it all the time, it’s not a waste. Nope! I bought myself a nice new purse, the fanciest I’ve ever owned. It’s gorgeous, leather, designer, and so obviously well constructed… I’ve carried it everywhere since the day I bought it! Plus it was on sale.

Anyways, going on the info you’ve given us, go over to eBay and pick it up! It’s ok.

@li612:  Mmm, she makes a great point, op! Then again, you may not find something as nice in Italy for the price of this bag that’s on sale..

Do it!!

I always justify “expensive” purchase with this…

Buy Less, Buy Quality.

Or, as my mother taught me, if you buy something quality you won’t have to keep replacing it over and over again. Ultimately, you will spend the same amount of money.

I don’t actually have any data on this, but it helps me make those big purchases.

@gingerkitten:  DO IT!  Call it a wedding present to yourself.  I’m the same way, I’m currently looking at $75 wristlet/coin purses for my BMs but there’s no way in hell I’d spend more than $20 on a wallet for myself.

If your FH has given you the green light I’d be all over it!!

@gingerkitten:  Get it! It’s not outrageously expensive and if you’re going to use it a lot then really it’s worth it.. Have you heard the saying ‘nothing is more expensive than something you only wear/use once’? Its my go to justification for something that’s expensive but I know i’ll get a tonne of use out of 😉

@gingerkitten:  Go for it! Bags in Italy will be much more expensive and it sounds eminently useful, as well as a steal!

– You’ll use it all the time

– It’s on SALE!!!!! 🙂

– It’s designer. Come on, you know you want it! 😉

–  It’s leather. It will last a looooong time.

– It’s designer, leather and will last a long time –> it’s most likely great quality. You’ll end up saving money because you won’t have to replace it for many, many years.

Now go ahead, buy it and love it! 🙂
