Hello my fabulous bee community!
So happy today, me and Darling Husband went to a mortgage broker to talk about where we stand for buying a home, i know your thinking…
“what the heck? This isn’t TTC related”
…but oh how it is! We want to be home owners when our baby is born, So when we found out we were in great standings to be able to buy a home in june!! ***Applause*** Darling Husband sujested trying for a honeymoon baby, honeymoon will be in march / april ish? So if we happened to be amazingly lucky and get pregnant first try (at that point i will have been charting for 6 months) Then when we close on the house and have a house warming party for friends and family to come check out our new place, we could then surprise all our loved ones by reveiling that we are expecting!!
All sounds so lovely!! -swoon- so fingers crossed i can get this charting down before the honeymoon we can book it for when i should ‘O’ and maybe just maybe we will be blessed with some honeymoon bliss baby dust!!
Anyone here pregant with a honeymoon baby or trying for then?!

I thought about it, but realized I want to drink during my honeymoon. If drinking is not important to you and your fiance/husband, go for it.

I am! We were planning on waiting a few months just so life could go back to normal after the wedding craziness, but life doesn’t always work out that way!
I’m 33 so I thought for sure it would take a while for it to happen, I still can’t believe it happened literally the first try!
Just heard the heartbeat for the first time last week.

I’m pregnant with a honeymoon baby! 🙂 We bought a house over 2 years ago (with lots of room to spare) and are financially ready, even after the wedding which is a small miracle thanks to very generous family and friends so a little while before the wedding we decided we would try right away. I was able to drink at my wedding and immediately after on vacation because I knew when to expect ovulation. I charted for about 4 months before we TTC, and low and behold we got pregnant the first cycle. I honestly think that charting really helped me. Obviously the stars were also aligned because even with perfect timing nothing is ever guaranteed.
Your plan sounds lovely! And congrats on the news about home ownership!

@peachacid: I want to drink like a fish on mine. So screw trying… well rather yes we will be screwing but not baby making screwing.

We have an accidental honeymoon baby. I was charting, but with all the stress of the wedding and actually going on the honeymoon (there was passport drama), I wasn’t sleeping well and stuff got wacky. Needless to say, I”m 33 weeks pregnant now! I did drink some on our honeymoon, but baby is fine. When we found out, we decided it was time to buy a house, so here we are! We closed at the end of June. 🙂

We’re having one as well! We weren’t planning on it yet, and our honeymoon was at an all inclusive resort, so needless to say, a lot of alcohol was imbibed. Thankfully, Baby is fine at 32 weeks!

we wanted one. we even scheduled the wedding/honeymoon trip along my cycle (though we were quite ignorant then… we knew my menstrual cycle, but not my ovulation cycle). we didn’t get it, obviously…. but we had fun trying.

@rosworms: mmm! that makes sense a lot of women dont realize that your period isnt the main event of the menstration cycle, Ovulation is the big one, why dont they teach us this more indepth in school?? I feel like it would reduce unwanted pregancy if they did.
Fingers crossed after half a year of charting i will have a good understanding of what i Ovulate 🙂

I was ovulating (according to the online calculator) on our honeymoon- which was last month. And we really did try, but no success. Also as far as drinking goes I read that the first week is really no big deal… as they put it many babies are conceived when people are drunk! So I didn’t worry about not drinking on my honeymoon- which was only a week long anyway. This is our second month trying and I got my BFP yesterday!

We don’t drink, so that isn’t a concern at all. But yes, I’d love to have a honeymoon baby.

We are having a honeymoon baby!! We just got married in September and are due in June! We weren’t planning on it but are happy just the same 🙂 My hubby is concerned people will be sick of coming to all our wedding events and now baby events lol

I would have loved one, though we’ve (DH) decided to wait six months / a year. Drinking on honeymoon was a plus though. Also, you should consider any meds you need to take (eg malaria tablets) and bring sickness tablets with you. I ended up getting some in Asia (not in English) which were harmful to take whilst pregnant in first trimester, hence I’d be extra prepared if you are trying and going somewhere really remote.
Good luck with the house purchase and move, and happy wedding planning 🙂
