my BFF got TONS of stuff from her C&B registry, and I was really impressed by how well hers was wrapped, too!
@bunnyfoofoo: I really wish we'd get more from ours! We were pushed by our moms to register for dishware, decided on C&B and I fell in love with it all... and then no one bought from it!
And I never tell you on the boards but I LOVEEEE your avatar :) I swear I say IT'S SO FLUFFY at least a few times each week ;)
They are really passionate about securely packaging their items! They even wrapped my towels when I ordered them online! I always feel badly for the environment.
hahaha I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! I unwrapped 1 appetizer plate from C&B at my shower & decided not to unwrap anymore until we were actually going to use them & take them out of the box, since I knew what the rest looked like! (and because I felt like it took me 5 minutes just to unwrap 1 dish!) They do pack them really well, which is nice, but I do feel like it's maybe a tad overkill.. haha.
@kt23525: Exactly! I unwrapped a few of them, I had 3 each in 4 colors and my friend was like 'hey, we get it. yeah, there's more in there. enjoy' ha!
I think it also depends on where stuff is coming from too. We got two packages, each containing 4 plates, from two different locations. One was in a medium box, the other was in a box twice the size of the first, WTF?!? Wayyyy too much packaging. It is a pain to get rid of!
The other day we received a glass bowl that was wrapped in yards and yards of that white corregated paper, in bubble wrap, in a box, in another box. It was actually kind of hilarious! The wrapping is insane! Such a waste...at least it's recycled paper...??

A coworker that couldn't make my shower gave me a box yesterday from Crate and Barrel...
We've only had one guest buy from that registry besides her, and it was almost comical at the shower unwrapping 12 appetizer plates because of how well it was packaged.
The plates had nothng on the 4 wine glasses I unwrapped this morning! The netting type stuff that is lined with tissue paper went all the way from my kitchen down the hall to the bedroom! For ONE GLASS!
After I took them out and rolled the wrapping back up I couldn't even get it back into the box that it came from, which is totally crazy.
Who wraps this stuff?!
I'm glad it's well packed against breakage since the closest store is about 4 hours away... but jeez!
Anyone else surprised by how much stuff is in those boxes?!
