Yay for us March brides!! Spring time is the best, don't you agree?
My date is 3/6/2010. :)
Yay! There are more of us!! And now we're all down to about a year to go!
How long ago did you guys pick your dates? P and I picked ours about 2 years ago...a month or two before he actually proposed. (Long story...)
FI and I originally were thinking about the first weekend in March. However, after our parents visited the venue they urged us to consider an outside wedding and a date later in March (so our guests wouldn't freeze and so that the pretty garden at our venue would have time to bloom). We consulted our calendar and the venue's availability and March 27 was it! :)
Me too on march 20! Its also spring break so my sis can come home from college :)
Oh, yes, planning around spring break. ^_^; P's break is the week of the wedding, so we're postponing the honeymoon until summer. At least one of us will be out of school...
Okay, so I have to know, did anyone else choose March 6 to avoid March Madness?
March 13, 2010 too!
I know it is early, but I am trying to think about themes, colors and flower ideas. March isn't quite warm where I live, but it is not winter weather either. Any thoughts on how to make things not to "wintery" or "spring-ish" but somewhere in the middle?
I think I like a deep purple for bridesmaids because it is not really a winter or spring color. (something like the color of this dress http://www.jlmcouture.com/Jim-Hjelm-Occasions/Bridesmaid/Additional/Style-5653)
I love Jim Hjelm bridesmaids dresses. They are really pretty and not overly expensive.
WOW! there are so many March 13th!
We picked that day, because it was the only one in March still left, they have a 50% off package rate when you choose an off season month!
We are having a hard time with theme though, not really spring, not really winter... what are you ladies doing?
Mine is yellow and sky blue, retro Alice in Wonderland, it's-1959-and-Disneyland-has-just-opened, gingham and eyelet kind of theme.
*takes deep breath*
That's too complicated.
Does it make any sense?
What is everyone else doing?
that sounds adorable! Now I feel like I have to come up with more of a concept than just colors! But really Gidgett, so awesome, post some pictures when you have some of that realzied, I would love to see how you do it.
Trayc, I'm doing deep purple too! I'm pairing it with bright orange. My Clemson-loving mother is in heaven thinking about it. :) What are your accent colors going to be?
MsAnnaLytica, I love the colors you picked-- those sound great together.
I am going to wear an ivory dress so I am thinking of keeping things simple by pairing the deep purple with a ivory color or light gold. So many decisions.....
morgan 165: thank you!! I'll definitely post a lot as I start getting things. :)
MsAnnaLytical: purple and bright orange! that's going to be exciting!! I can't wait to see how you put it together!
