Really excited! I finished moving this weekend and got a lot done despite the holidays. I have to put in a full week of work(i could leave if i had my deadlines done, but no dice.)
1/10/10; Piazza in the Village, Colleyville, TX; grape and bright green-- decor has peacock feathers, birch sticks and crystals with purple glass beads.
Yay! Congrats to the New Year's brides! So exciting for everyone!
I've been on a rampage doing a million and one odds & ends. It really hit me this weekend when I had my final fitting & there were no more alterations needed! I'm super excited & hoping that this cold I'm fighting off is gone by the wedding!
We're having 2 weddings...so I'm doubly stressed/excited/nervous/happy.
-01/14/10 - "Little wedding" @ City Hall NYC & then lunch @ a midtown bistro, dove gray, ivory & purple.
-01/15/10 "Big wedding" @ Battery Gardens, NYC; Teal, Navy, Copper, Gold with some purples thrown in for good measure - Peacock feathers for me too!
Squeeee! :)
Stressed, excited, and ready for it to be over with. I'm ready for the marriage and everything and everyone to settle down.
January 16th; Pojoaque, New Mexico (in a cute little chapel with only close friends and family) it's a destination wedding for both families, so it should be interesting!; Eggplant, Navy & Gold...and lots of candles!
happy and excited, and totally anxious... and little nervous too.
1/16 Dove Canyon Country Club, orange county, ca. Eggplant, gold, silver and ivory lots of crystals, candles, and romance!
i can't believe how quickly time has flown! i'm a bit stressed trying to finish all the last minute things, but more than anything i'm just ready to be married.
January 16th in Austin, TX - ceremony at a catholic church and a reception at a goregous ballroom on the UT campus. we've got people coming in from all over the US and a few from abroad - i can't wait to have everyone in town and show them how much fun austin is.
our colors are chocolate brown, sunshine yellow and deep purple - sorry i don't really know proper color names, that's the best way to describe them! lots of bird-type decorations on the escort cards and cupcakes, to match our invitations and STDs.
Thanks for replying ladies! I see that eggplant is a very popular color!
@ miss damask: have a blast this weekend, savor your day, I hope it goes wonderfully.
@everyone else: enjoy your last weekend as single ladies!
2010/01/27 - Punta Cana - ceremony in a beautiful garden; whatever colors the flowers are in the garden!!
We don't actually know much about the details other than what we will wear, the horse and carriage ride from my hotel room to the garden, and the fact that we'll be married. We can't even choose the restaurant for the reception until after we get there! :)
It's in two weeks, and yet, not too stressed about the fact that we know nothing, isn't that odd?
1/23/2010 super fancy fun wedding in Greenwich Village with our friends as the band. Old New York theme. We're driving away in a vintage taxi cab!
Yay! I'm getting SO EXCITED. At this point all the stuff I can't get done is just that...STUFF. I'm just really excited to see my family and friends and then be MARRIED!!!!
That's not to say I don't still have a TON of stuff to do. Ha. Also major family drama is NOT to be avoided. I got in trouble with my FMIL over our reception seating. Ouch!
Our colors are silver, hydrangea blue and royal blue. (I know...so CREATIVE..)
We still have to get our rings, put the music on an ipod for cocktail hour, and print the menus and programs. Martha says I am waaaay behind. AY YAI YAI!
@MissMeepsie:Yay NYC!
@ Carbon Girl: I LOVE the Round Barn! It was my first choice venue until something didn't work out (size, maybe? I don't remember!). I can't wait to see pictures! Your colors and theme sound lovely.
I suppose I can officially post on this since we just decided on Monday to get married this Sunday (for health insurance reasons) although our 'real' wedding is in May.
Wedding is outdoors on the harborfront in the Seaport area of Boston, celebration dinner in the North End (amazing Italian), colors.....he's wearing a black wool coat and brown pants, I just bought a winter white wool coat and scarf (not sure about the rest of my outfit yet but aiming for all winter white), and my flowers will be what ever catches my eye at the supermarket flower section when we stop in Sunday morning :-)
17 days left for us! 225 people, church wedding with wine & cheese reception. The theme is very natural and organic with a palette of green, ivory and gold. So excited! Now to make sure that my dress still fits right...eek!

Ladies,
First off, congrats to all the brides who got married last weekend. Second, how are the rest of you holding up?
I was very stressed last week but now I just have lots of butterflies--the excited kind! MY FI and I just mediated a large misunderstanding between our parents and now both sides are happy, which is a huge relief.
I also want a roll call. I want to know your date, venue, and colors!
1/17/10; Round Barn, Vermont; olive, eggplant and chocolate (very organic, woodsy feeling with pine branches and pinecones)
