Im a Oregon august 25 2012 Bride and am interested in where you booked?
We did the salem route Historic deepwood estate!
We booked the Crystal Ballroom in Downtown Portland. Wwe are SUPER excited to have it at such a "Protland" location and can't wait to take advantage of the floating floor they are so famous for... now to pick a coordinating color palatte...
And ideas? At this point, we are totaly open, and are looking for semi-formal, yet summery...
It looks so pretty we just booked our venue recently too! It's super exciting! Do you have 1 certain color you can't live without? I have a few cute color palattes in mind!
@Oregon: I loveeee this room. Looks gorgeous. I think a palette using red as a focal would really make it pop. Maybe a lighter blue as an accent?

I think it would be fun to do somewhat of a circus theme? The walls give off that kind of theme with the lights.
@Oregon: gold and eggplant sounds pretty awesome... I think gold is definitely going to look perfect in there no matter what you decide to use with it...
It's beautiful venue! I kind of like the idea of gold, tangerine and one other colour - it's summery and fits with the venue :) [But probably best to ignore me - our colours are simply my favourite colours, no thinking involved!]

Hey bees! I am super excited to announce that Mr. Oregon and I have taken the first step in wedding planning and booked a venue! I am super excited about this because it allows us to not only pick a date (which is slightly important) but it also allows us to start the fun part...the planning!
I am super excited about getting down to the nitty gritty of planning. The color palate, bridesmaids dresses, the alter-do we have one? do we not? Linens, tablecloths, centerpieces (thanks to you fellow bees I have some great ideas!) the whole thing.
August 18, 2012...here we come and ready to take Portland, OR by storm!
