Whoops, I Forgot to Wear My Ring!

I ran out of the house yesterday morning without putting my ring on. Then I went out after work for drinks, without the ring.  And after a couple drinks, my friend leans in and whispers "I noticed you don't have your ring ON," and gives me a look, almost like she's expecting me to tell her something horrible.  So I looked at her and said "whoops" and changed the subject.

But has this ever happened to anyone else?  Is it really that horrible to forget to wear your ring?  And, honestly, what do people expect to hear?  (Part of me wanted to whip up a crazy story about infidelity and throw in a couple tears, but I wasn't really in the mood...)

Yup, been there done that!  I felt totally naked all day.  The worst part is, I told FI i had forgot to put it back on after doing dishes.  When I met him at home later in the day, i went to the sink to get it, and it was gone.  I quietly began to freak out and search everywhere.  After I walked passed him for the 100th time in my mad and quiet search, he asked what was wrong...and i had to confess that I lost it.  He began to laugh hysterically at me and my panic, and told me where to find it.  In his pocket!  MEN!

I forget mine occasionally.  Usually when I do, I turn around and get it (right now I don't have a lot of places that I have to be on directly at a time).

I've been there way more than I'd like to admit! I never take mine off except to clean it and I will usually try to clean it before a special occasion so many times my FI has turned around to get my ring since I forgot to put it back on.

i do it all the time, and people DO notice. I think it's sweet cause it means they worry about you therefore they love you.

I forgot to wear mine today!  Running late for work, and ran out without it on.  I feel naked too...

I forgot mine last week when I took it off to clean it. It felt so weird since mine has a sizer on it, I'm used to having to flip it around all day (waiting to get it sized with my band).

Had to call FI and tell him not to knock it off the counter into the toilet. :)

oh i've got a story. so i took my ring in on sunday to get resized and reset. nobody notices on monday. then tuesday, i wake up with terrible allergies (gotta love the texas pollen right now) and my eyes were so red and itchy i had to wear my glasses. it also apparently looks like i was crying. my boss and another employee both said that if i needed to go home early, it was fine, and kept looking at my hand. they also kept asking me if i was "okay" ALL DAY.

when the jeweler called me yesterday to say the ring was ready, i spoke very loudly and informed everyone i was taking a long lunch break to go pick up my ring.

my fiance said i should have played along with their absurdity and been like "YES HE TOOK MY RING AWAY AND WE ARE NO LONGER GETTING MARRIED!" and started bawling hystarically.

I've done it tons of times!  I put lotion on at night and don't feel like putting it back on then in the morning I space and forget.  Its no biggie!  Don't sweat it.  The only reason I don't think I'll ever do it again, is because when our apartment got burglarized, I was so so so relieved that I hadn't left it on the dresser that day.  I know the chances of a break in happening again are slim, and that the ring is insured but still!

I'd be happy if someone pointed it out - what if i left them in the restroom?! or lost them in a box of popcorn?!!?! haha. I haven't forgotten to wear mine yet, though i have almost left the house w/out them.

I have to admit I forget mine at least once a week. It's delicate so I take it off immediately when I get home. I'm looking forward to having just a plain wedding band that I'll never take off (at which point the e-ring will be for special occasions or when I feel like wearing it instead of the band).

If I take off my ring to clean it, I feel naked. I'll tell my man that I am soaking my ring, and then 30 minutes later I'll jump, because I notice that my ring is no longer on my finger... and then he laughs at me.. sigh.

I have never forgotten to wear my ring but right now I can't with my swollen fingers. My hubby has forgotten to wear his wedding ring before. He felt so bad that he apologized to me. To me it was no big deal. He takes it off to shower so it can be easy to forget to put it back on.

I haven't forgotten mine all day YET, though I'm sure it will happen. I always take it off when I work out, shower, clean, and wash my hands. It'll be weird the week before my wedding because I'm having my ering and wedding band soddered together and won't have it but I figure I'll wear my great grandmother's diamond ring that I'm wearing down the aisle...or my promise ring.

I definitely forgot my ring yesterday also! It was awkward because I realized that I subconciously play with my ring during the day. I kept trying to play with it but it wasn't there!
