So last night I went to go take my pill (which should have been the 1st placebo for this week) and I discovered I forgot to take my pill on Saturday evening (the last dark blue pill). So I took the blue pill last night. Question is..should I start a new pack right away instead of taking the placebos this week? Or should I just not worry about and take the placebos like normal and start my new pack on Sunday July 11?

PS-I wont be having sex this week since Im supposed to get my period on Tuesday.

    Don't worry about it!

If I were you I wouldn't have taken the last pill and just gotten my period a day early - but no biggie!

Just have your period and start back up on your normal day!

I did that last week, same thing as you.  I ended up getting my period one day late and started the new pack yesterday.

I would not worry about it. It was one pill at the end of your pack, and I don't think it will have an affect. i would take the placebo pills this week and start a new pack next week.Personally I wouldn't worry about one pill, but you might want to use back up protection for the next two weeks. I don't know specifically what kind of pills you take, but I took ortho lo, and they said if you missed one or two to just double up for the next 1-2 days and continue as normal.

I was so happy when hubs and I started TTC, because I HATED taking pills and would forget at least one a month. I'd only use backup if I missed more than one pill. It's nice not to have to worry about remembering pills anymore.

I concur; totally don't worry about it, especially because you're not going to be having sex anyway. Unfortunately, I take my pills late all the time. It's not until you miss 3 days (I think that's it...) that they recommend you start again.

Remember, the sex or not having any is not an issue as you more than likely ovulate 14 days after the start of your period, thus your chance of pregnancy, so missing in the middle is worse. You should continue with the placebos and start your pack on time is what I was always told.
