It's Friday night! Anyone have fun plans? My partner is out of town for a music gig and music video shoot, so I'm just sitting on the couch, watching Shrek 3 on cable and wondering what to do.
What are y'all up to?
I'm having a rare lazy night in. And I'm lovin' it! FI is in the man cave playing a new video game, i'm in the living room surfin' the web... thinking about photographers and honeymoons, and watching sitcom reruns. :)
I watched a few episodes of Say Yes To The Dress while assembling invitations..nearly having a bridezilla moment about our numbers going up unexpectedly.
Tomorrow is my hair trial so I'm really looking forward to that
Absolutely nothing! I didn't get outta work till almost 9 and I work at 8 tomorrow. :P
I am, however, going to Perkins around 11 for dinner w/ some work friends tho :)
Just sitting here waiting for FI to get home...haven't seen him all day since he's been out towing cars, then we're heading out to see the movie "Eclipse"! :)
I am! Im listening to FH snore and looking online for shoes to bling up!
@CorgiTales: sounds relaxing! I am technically on summer vacation right now so I feel like I'm going stir-crazy. I should memorize this lazy night in now so I can appreciate it when life gets busy again.
@marlew: productive night in, that's the best. What kind of style are you going for, for the hair trial? Mine is next weekend, I'm excited too.
@thisismeAXiD: Boo, that sucks! late-night Perkins is always fun though. Have a chocolate chocolate muffin for me... mmm I haven't had one of those in forever!
@VirginiaMarie: Oh yeah! How are those going? I remember the first few you posted. How many total are you aiming for? I STILL haven't figured out what we'll do for our cake stands, and our wedding is a week after yours, eek.
@Firefighter_Bride: Have fun! I'm supposed to go see that with SIL and K sometime soon. SIL can't convince my brother to go, but K thinks werewolves fighting vamps is super cool, haha.
@mishelleez: Fun! What kind of shoes and bling are you thinking?
Hangin' in after kayaking and dinner - FI is playing Madden and I'm icing/heating the torn calf. Leaving tomorrow for the Cape for a friend's wedding! :)
@jduck84: They're coming along fabulously. They are the easiest things to make. Right now I have 7, and am aiming for 12 (but we're using only 9?) I have to transport them and I figure I'll have a few extras in case of any accidents. How many cake stands do you need? and what style do u want?
I have no Idea what kind of shoe just something with a high heel and easy to attatch the crystals! Its so funny im always having a hard time looking for funky shoes, I have so many its really hard finding something I dont have. And tonight thats all I can find
Im not sure what kind of crystals im going to use. I got the idea today after getting my shoes I hate and seeing a thread on here for them! It should be intresting im not very crafty
I'm doing my roots, watching hottub time machine and cookin dinner. Thats about it for us.
Nothing! I got off work at 3 and am EXHAUSTED. I work 8 hour days (starting at 7am) at a summer day camp and those kids are such a handful. I can barely drag myself off the couch after work.
I'm supposed to be studying for a test on Monday. Tomorrow some of my girls are coming up to try on bridesmaid dresses so that will be fun!
@troubled: I think I'm going to Disneyland for tomorrow (or at least part of the day). It's not too exciting considering I'm there so often but it is something to do. On Sunday I get to look forward to a 6 mile training run :p
@7SEVENJ9: ooh that wedding will be beautiful, I bet! Have a great time!
@trugem: eh, it's Friday night which calls for TV and procrastination, because who needs to be doing anything right now? which brings me to...
@troubled: what's your work number? I will call you with an emergency and insist that you come home now. Home being your home, of course. I saw your post about crazy pills at work. That was ELEVEN hours ago! I feel so bad for you!
@VirginiaMarie: we're doing several smaller cakes, but I think we'll display 3 of them higher. I think something like Crate & Barrel style, but I also really like the kind you're making. I've been on wedding DIY burn out though, hence the indecision. Re: yours stands - good call on making extras! I would've never thought of that. Tell me more about your cookies... you're doing a cookie table, right?
@mishelleez: Well, you have some time to figure it out! I could see it getting frustrating attaching crystals to shoes though, hmm. Maybe you'll find something ready to go that you'll love before the wedding; there's still some time.
FH just got home. Our power was out all day and just came back on so after cleaning out the fridge, I'm catching up on FB and WB and blasting the AC. 
FH's bachelor party is tomorrow and my bachelorette is Sunday. Pedicures, lunch and a sex toy party. I wonder what us girls will do. Haha.
@jduck84:yes! 1,200 cookies. EEK. Well, I of course think you should make them yourself. I freakin' HATE DIY. But it's so much cheaper, and I can't justify spending $40/cake stand when I can make them for $4. If you need help ever, let me know. I found the best epoxy to use and everything. Goodluck babe!
@jduck84: hey, saw that you're from MN, me too! I live in Bloomington. Where are you getting married? My fiance and I aren't getting married until October 2011 but are starting to look at venues now.
I'm having a fun night of baking and playing Wii tennis with my fiance. It's nice having a night in to relax and I'm so excited to sleep in tomorrow.
@jduck84: Thanks for the laugh! I am like 10 minutes away from being done and then I'm going to go have about 10 glasses of wine until I pass out (OK, I'll be done after 2 but whatever).
@babyboo: Nice, I've never been to Disneyland, or CA for that matter. Sounds like a fun day.
We have Shrek on TV, too! We just got home from a rodeo, which was fun -- just to watch! Cowboys are sexy, methinks, and my FI has gone bull riding, but he doesn't anymore thankfully because it is terrifying to think how badly they could be hurt. But sexy. ;) He pulled his groin last time he did it!
I'm around - just watching TV tonight. This week has been killer and I need to decompress before I go to bed and have the weekend.

I so want to bake brownies but with this heat wave there is NO WAY I'm turning the oven on.

@babyboo: I know what you mean. I worked with tiny kids at summer school once and it was all I could do to get up every morning at like 6:30 am. The worst was the school was shaped like a circle, so these little terrors would run away from you, down the hall, and be out of sight!

@jduck84: so far we've looked at a couple places through Three River's Park District. We really liked Gale Woods Farm, it's a pavillion on a lake that looks like a big red barn, but it's too expensive. I've actually been looking into some parks to rent a pavillion, Anoka county has a few I like. Which park is your reception at?

I've spent my night trying to figure out how to design invitations in MS Word and realising invitation wording is something you think would be amazingly simple until you sit down to write it. And how many millions of fonts are out there!

ugh, i'm at home doing homework. its not difficult but i don't want to do it. lol. but i have more homework to do tomorrow so i have to get it done today. except i want to do everything else instead, including cleaning out my desk and washing the dishes!
