Yes!  The last summer opening ceremony was SO great we can't wait for the winter ones.

    GO USA!

(Though Go Canada too -- all the advertising has made me want to visit Vancouver!)

I lurve the Olympics. For some reason, I get so emotional about them too! I love watching the competition, the country pride of all the athletes - especially the nations with really small teams, and hearing all the backstories!

It's worse than an episode of Extreme Home Makeover for me!

Oooh! And I see two prego Mrs. Sea Breeze potentials. One on the left of the tunnel of people, and the other in the background of the athletes, on the right, more spaced out.

I play this game watching for my brother at Michigan State basketball games!

And because I'm nerdy like that, I rewound the DVR. I'm like 98% positive Mrs. Sea Breeze is in the background of the athletes walking in (on NBC) on the right side of the lines. You can see her (or mostly her belly!) behind the flag bearers if they don't cut it too close!

I'm totally with you on the Georgian team. They all looked so somber. If that was me, watching all those people stand in honor of my teammate, I'd lose it.

I am losing it and I am sitting alone on my couch LOL!!!!

I get really emotional with the olympics already (just like you) the pride just makes me cry I guess I don't know!

And for the Canadians did you see the new Tim Horton's commercial with the man welcoming home his family who just immigrated to Canada? Totally made me cry! But Tim Horton's commercials usually make me cry.... I am so pathetic! LOL

@Krissy - watch the people dressed in white when the athletes enter on the far side I think she's the preggo one just right before the athletes turn.

@ceamoste - I think she is right next to the man with the pot belly LOL!

I'm with the rest of you girls, each person looks so proud it makes me want to cry!

Seabreeze is in like every third or fourth shot. There is a brunette with long hair then a scruffy guy, another brunette with curled hair another guy then Seabreeze and baby!

I screamed the first time I saw her, FI thinks I'm ridiculous because I talk about them like they live down the street. Anyone else's FI/SO not get that even though we don't know the Bees we know them!?

My FI is sick, so he's in bed already (10 over here in the east!), but he would be laughing at me if he were watching too. I would totally be pointing her out to him!

I also like to see all the Americans who represent other nations. We're such a melting pot that I'm not even surprised to see them in other countries.

And OOH! Good shot of Mrs. Sea Breeze behind Norway's flag bearer!

This thread makes me feel better about sobbing, hahaha. I am such a sucker for epic music cued with real people! I ALWAYS cry during the opening ceremony.

Watching the Olympics always reminds me of my young dream of being an Olympic figure skater. I used to play with my Barbie during the figure skating competitions and choreograph my Barbie's "skate dance" with the competitors, hahaha.

Man, lookin' at these damn strong/fit girls makes me wanna get in fightin' shape! They're so hot. Especially those Australians.  I'm jealous.

I can't wait to see what our Americans are wearing! I know the team outfits are usually designed special for the opening ceremonies. Do you guys think it's going to be something crazy odd or just uber patriotic?

Listen to that crowd! Go Canada!

My southern sisters! (Yes, Canada is techincally south of Detroit.) Can I be an honorary Canadian for just now? I've been practicing saying hockey right and not "hackey" like an American!
