I’m thinking of having a dessert table instead of having one large cake. I’m still planning to have a wedding cake but a smaller one. Because how out reception is we would have the dessert table agian a wall. I would still like to have us cut the cake but how would our guests see us if our backs are to them.
My first thought was have a small table pushed to the dance floor and temporary move the cake on that table but then when guests go get desserts the “cake” won’t be there in a way put just slices on it. Would that be ok?
Any other suggestions??

Just stand so that you are sideways to the table. Your coordinator or MC can ask the guests to move more to one side of the room.

I was wondering exactly what kind of cake I wanted, but now I KNOW I need a tiny cake with bride and groom strawberries. TOO CUTE.
I’m doing the same thing, a dessert table with an assortment of awesome treats with just a small cake for FI and I.

I am doing a desert table for 55 guests. I am thinking 3 pcs per person should be enough.
one small 10 serving cake, mini fruti tarts, eclairs, baklava, and some other assorted french pastries from our local deli. The owner knows us well and is so great what he does! we were so happy he decided to make us a cake as well as the mini desserts. It is a waste to have a big cake AND dessert table…
we are having a black and white cake (the flavors are chocolate, almond, and cream)
