I'm wearing a pair of black ballet flats for my wedding (ceremony and reception). What are you wearing? And what color?!

I'll also be wearing flats (white) as I'm 5'10" and taller than him-plus heels would hurt my feet after a few hours and the last thing I want is to be uncomfortable on my wedding day. Haven't gotten the shoes yet though-which ballet flats does everyone recommend??

I have a pair of white ballet flats from Dessy.com.  My FI is the same height as me and I had a really hard time finding flats.

I'm not sure exactly what shoe I'm wearing yet, but since we're getting married outside, sharp heels are not really an option. Plus, I'm not much a heel girl anyway.  I may do a small wedge or something, but I'm happy in flats!

i haven't picked them out yet, but i'm definitely going the flats or very, very low heels route--fi is only an inch taller than me and he's self-conscious about it. plus, i want to be comfortable! i rarely wear heels

Flats for sure.  I tell everyone it's because I'm getting married outside on a farm in grass and dirty, but really I just don't ever wear heels.  I feel like a 5 yr old strutting around in her mommy's shoes when I do; I'm just not good at it and look clumsy.  I'm ABSOLUTELY wearing flats!!

I put other because I plan on wearing my gray high heels as long as possible, but I also bought a pair of gray converse should I risk losing my feet by the end of the night. Wink

I planned on wearing 4 inch heels that were purple and they were SOOOOOO cute.  But as the wedding day got closer and closer and I realized there would be snow and ice on the ground, I switched to the flats, which were also purple....and made me look quite short next to my hubby (he's 6'6" and i'm 5'4"). lol

I'm shopping for flats because FI and I are almost the same height and I know I won't be as comfortable in heels anyway.

I voted other, I wore 1.5" heels for the ceremony, and got a pair of slippers for the reception.  So I did both!

I'm wearing 2.5" heels for the wedding but I might slip into something a bit more comfortable halfway through the reception.

Flats for sure. FI is shorter, and it is an outside wedding. Besides, I wear heels almost every day for work (rocking 3-inches right now), but I don't like to dance in them. I'm usually that fool who kicks off her heels and dances barefoot all night. I've left like three pairs of heels at parties. (I'm a lot of fun at parties, I've already put three friends on sobriety patrol)

I have a feeling I'll either wear flats or something very close to a no-heeled variety since I can't rock the high heels for very long.  Bummer because all I see in red are some very cute heels :(  Anyone have pics and the location they are getting their shoes to share in case someone else wants to purchase them too?

Ideally I'd wear some peep toe flats, but I can't find any I love. I may have to settle for flat flip flops or sandals. Heels + our venue + me would end in disaster :)

My FI is about a foot taller than me so I get to wear heels. This is great post! Congrats. You should post a picture of your flats up that would be cool.

I put other because I am torn between the two! I would love to wear flats because I am taller than FI and always look giant in my heels next time.(only in my mind!) And who doesnt want to be comfortable after a night of dancing. However, I am wearing a tea length dress and dont really think flats would look to good.

Any brides rocking a tea length dress and flats any advice would be appreciated??

@monitajb-I am also the girl that is always bare foot after a couple of hours of partying! I feel like i dance better. Ok thats my story. LOL

i love heels but FH and i are almost the same height so i dont wear em too often anymore - so i might do low heels for ceremony and flats for reception to be able to dance the night away...

I'm wearing heels for the ceremony - they're gonna have to be fab ones too cos I'm a tea length bride but then I'm switching to flats for the reception. I want to be able to have a FANTASTIC time on the dancefloor and be comfortable so I'm gonna be rocking some super cute flats that I have yet to find. I'd like for them to be fun and colourful seeing as they're going to be on display and I've decided to stick with white heels for the ceremony. So excited!

One of my best friends wore white ballet slippers for her wedding! It was really cute and she was comfy! I'm only 5'2'' so I wear heels as often as possible :)

    Mrs. Louboutin    July 2010

Sadly, I am foregoing my beloved Loubous for a pair of ivory satin flat Calvin Klien shoes.  I was having the hardest time finding a pair of flats in ivory satin that would match my dress and found these on zappos.com and even though the color looks white in the picture, they match my ivory satin Kenneth Pool dress PERFECTLY!  I am 5'7", FI is 5'10" and while I have no problem rocking 4 inch heels regularly with him, I wanted to be shorter than him on our wedding day.  Additionally, my dad is only 5'9" and I wanted to be shorter than him.

Flats for me. Heels make me nervous, and I don't want to wobble down the aisle! I was going to do ballet flats until I realized our August wedding = hot feet, so I'm looking for cute flat sandals. Possibly these, from piperlime:
