i thought his side would have more – he has a huge family! he is one of 13 kids, his mom is one of 15 and his dad one of 12 and he has 76 cousins! i had about 70 people on my guest list and he had close to 100

i actually ended up having more people come than him but barely, it was pretty equal in numbers – i think because i’ve lived here my whole life most of my guests were local and would def be there where almost all of his were out of town and some couldnt make it.

Ours were pretty equal, we told our parents a certain number that they could invite so they had to stick within that. Plus, we have a lot of mutual friends. We grew up in the same circle, and even though we never met each other until a few years ago, both of our families are friends with the same people.

Mine; my step family is huge!

FI is actually worried. So we are going to have “OPEN SEATING” in hopes people use either side! =)

Our wedding is at the end of the month so we have final numbers. We both have 46 guests coming. But he invited 107 and I invited 76. As I tease him, my “success” rate is higher.

FI and I both have large extended families (tons of aunts, uncles, cousins) but he’s closer to more of his family, whereas I only see and speak to a handful of mine, so FI’s side will be larger.

Oh, mine for sure. There are so many aunts/uncles/cousins/second cousins in my mom’s family, and I wanted them all to be there!

My FI has a bigger family than I do and mine is composed mostly of children who aren’t invited to the reception so we’re definitely going to have more guests on my FI’s side. However, I have more friends than my FI does so there will be a few more friends of mine there.

My side will have more guests, that is why we will be not having a Grooms side and a Brides side, it will be mixed, the only thing I will make sure of is that my mom & dad, his mom, moms dad and dads mom will be at the front. With my borther and his brother as well.

I actually haven’t checked, we didn’t really make an invite list with his or her side. I don’t mind if people sit anywhere, they don’t have to take sides.

I think it’s about equal. If I had to guess I think he has a few more but it’s not a huge disparity.

For guests invited his, for actual guest showing up mine, because our wedding most of his family and friends have to travel anywhere from 1.5 hrs to 12 hrs to get to the wedding. Where most of my side reside in my hometown or close to it

FI has a lot more than I do. Most of my family is in Quebec and probably won’t be coming, while his family all live pretty close. He is also a friend collector and has quite a few more than I do, haha!

    In family? His.

In friends? It’s kinda equal, but most I’ve met through him.  Not that it matters, since they see us as a package deal for the most part and those who HAVE met me, like me. 🙂
