Hey yall... The Oscars just started! Who's watching? Who's your best dressed so far? I think Sandra Bullock looks amazing in Marchesa!!
I'm watching it. I haven't picked a fave yet. I think Sarah Jessica Parker looks good except WTF with that spray on tan???
I always love how Cameron Diaz looks at these shows! I also liked Miley Cyrus, which typically never happens.
I can't pick a complete favorite yet, but so far, I am really loving Anna Kendrick's frothy blush confection.
Sandra Bullock looks amazing but for that glaring lipstick.
Also, the bottom half of Miley Cyrus' dress is pretty and fun, though not remotely close to "best dressed."
Hadn't seen Cameron Diaz until the picture posted below -- love it!
What the heck with the scene with George Clooney? He looked so pissed off.
OMG, I just saw pics of Cameron Diaz... she looks AMAZING! I love her dress... it's by Oscar de la Renta I think.
I LOVED Cameron Diaz, I think she looked gorgeous. And Sarah Jessica Parker--she's so daring with her fashion choices, I love it.

@WendyS328 I agree about Amanda Seyfried's gown-- it's way too overwhelming on her... and makes her look much older than she is!
I am loving Miley's earrings though-- I would love to wear those with my wedding dress, haha I wish.
I loved the dress Miley Cyrus wore, but I wish someone else had worn it, like Penelope Cruz or Kate Winslet.
@Tulip...yea but Penelope looked gorgeous in that scarlet red gown!
Love Gabourey's dress. Great color, great cut.
Also, Meryl Streep looks classy and fantastic as usual.
Love the color on Kate Winslet, but I am not feeling that dress at all.
Penelope looks good, but I feel like she has this sort of dress look that she always goes for -- fitted then train, something elaborate with the architecture or embellishment of the dress. I sort of feel like we've seen this before.
@Wendy - Yeah, Penelope always looks gorgeous at awards shows - I don't think I've ever not loved one of her dresses!
I don't think Kate Winslet or Penelope Cruz would have pulled off that dress as well as Miley Cyrus. It seems like a dress made for a more petite frame. I think a curvier lady would spill out of that dress! Penelope does look gorgeous, as always. Sandra Bullock looks gorgeous. I love Maggie Gyllenhall's dress too. Carey Mulligan looks great too.

@Gidgett....I think they have been spot on so far.
Although, with the animated films, I was really rooting for Coraline, because I loved that movie a lot
OMG Molly Ringwald looked like a deer in headlights when presenting.
@Wendy: Me too! I saw it as soon as it came out...then read the book. Love it!
But I was so torn. I adore Princess and the Frog to the Nth degree, but Up was so fantastic. I knew it was coming, but still...poor PatF. It deserves so much better!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved that movie. I couldn't stop crying during that one scene when they were growing older.
I am loving the top of Zoe Saldana's dress... but not so crazy about the bottom. She's so pretty that she pulls it off though-- the girl looks hot!

BUT I JUST LOVE HER AND THINK SHE IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL!!
Demi Moore's dress looks like the junior version of Penelope's past stunning peach dress.
How do you feel about Vera Farmiga's dress? I want to dislike it because it is so busy and the bodice is not really that flattering... but I am sort of mesmerized by all the pleats. Definitely not best dressed in my book, but I definitely give her kudos for the risk and uniqueness.

When you first glance at that pic, it looked like she was holding a matching fan.
I'm not digging that at all. Granted, it wins points for uniqueness, but that's about it.
Zoe Saldana is amazing! She is the only person who could have played Uhura...and definitely the only person who could play that Na'vi chick. I was not impressed by Avatar, but she was great.
And Sigourney. Love Sigourney Weaver.
@Amaryllis: I don't love Vera's dress, but I don't hate it either. It's a very fancy dress that looks like it took a lot of talent/craftsmenship to make, so kudos to the designer and dressmaker! I do love the color though. :)
ddubzz -- That's how I feel! Look at how perfectly aligned the ruffles are as they nestle into each other. I would definitely not pick it, but it is a work of art.

Are Amanda Seyfriend and Jennifer Lopez wearing (almost) identical dresses?
ETA: Okay, a googling revealed that they are both in Armani Privé. Amanda Seyfriend is in off-white while Lopez is in pale pink, but the unique fabric and the structure make the dresses look SO similar. I'd be pissed if I were either of them.
PS: who can believe J Lo is 40? I want to be HALF that hot and fresh-faced at that age!
